Sam and his team provide the best haircuts and beard trims on this end of the Gold Coast.The barbers are always very friendly and easy to talk to. Booking online is super easy and parking is always accessible.

I’ve been to Backbone several times now and all the boys are great. They squeezed me in for a last minute cut with the apprentice Noah this afternoon. I didn’t realise he was the apprentice until the bill (notably cheaper). The price definitely doesn’t reflect the high quality cut he gave. I’ll 100% be going back to him irrespective of what they charge in the future

All the boys are so friendly and professional. Shaun has cut my sons hair for over a year now. He gave him his first cut at 2 years old and we’ve never been anywhere else. Hendrix loves going there, no tears EVER, and I’ve always been so happy with the actual style which has always been in Shaun’s hands to decide. I highly recommend!

Only barbershop I’ll go to for a cut. The owner Sam is a legend and leads an amazing team of barbers at Currumbin & Burleigh. Would recommend to all wanting to get a fresh fade/cut.

Being a new Currumbin local, this is the first place we found and won’t go anywhere else now. Sam and the team are so highly skilled and amazing at what they do. Friendly, great banter, perfect service all the time.

Great cut & Great experience:
First time customer at Christmas and having been going since. Very welcoming at start I wasn't sure what cut to get for my hair and beard as I was new to growing a beard, Sean went through everything with me and gave some suggestions about what would suit me. The lads have built such a good rapport with me and I enjoy coming into the shop. I would recommend to anyone looking for barbers. .

Top quality barber shop. Been going here for a few months and never been disappointed, i never really knew what to ask for when getting my hair cut before but Sean sorted me out, now I just get the usual. Good atmosphere and always have a bit of a laugh with the lads too. Highly recommend.

His barber skills and cuts are the best by far, but along with that it’s his attention to detail and personality that stands out and is why I will continue to go back.

I love Backbone Barbershop. Sam is a master of his craft, great business owner and all round top bloke. The banter is just as fresh as the cuts, advice on self care is always on point and it’s always a genuine, authentic experience. Booking an appointment on the Instagram page is super easy as well and picking a time means I usually walk in and sit straight at the chair with no wait time. Best on the coast for sure.

The lads are a great bunch of lads. I got my haircut for the first time there by a guy called Shaun. I think he was Irish but I couldn't place the accent 😅. Either way he was super professional and very patient with me as I have a very particular hairstyle I like and am quite fussy about the fade I get but I have to say Shaun nailed it.

To sum up I would definitely be going back there in the future and am hoping they will be able to accommodate me with my fussy styling going forward 😂😂. TAGI!!

I took a chance when Backbone first opened because it was close to home and haven't gone anywhere else since.
Sam and Sean are first class barbers, the booking system is easy, the shops always immaculately clean and has a great vibe and I always get what I ask for.
I thoroughly recommend Backbone to anyone.

Sam is not only an amazing barber but a good bloke. My 2 sons 5yrs + 7yrs
