One of the largest Shires in the world and providing amazing services to an absolutely huge area. (bigger than many countries) Has a stable workforce, administering everything from rubbish disposal, to airports, road maintenance and some of the greenest ovals in Australia. They do a brilliant job.

The Community and economic development teams, in my experience, are good.

Prebooked a powered site for 4 days so we could have a rest and see whaleback mine, the whole 4 days we had, pneumatic drilling, backhoes digging, no water at times with no warning, so couldn't shower couldn't flush toilet couldn't have a cuppa, if fore warned I could have filled kettle. Paid $140 for 4 nights, I think we should get 3 refunded, very unhappy and disappointed.
When booking on line, you should be told, works in progress could be noisy?????

Newman is a "RV Friendly Town" the sign says. What a joke. Just one council run van park in the town with online booking system. No caretaker on site. Enormous area that accommodates only 10 powered sites. With zero degrees inside the van this morning on our UNPOWERED site, not happy. All powered sites are booked with Council holding waiting list they tell me. No hand soap in ladies, sanitary disposal bin overflowing, no toilet paper in mens. Kitchen excellent (and warm). May sleep in there tonight 😆😠😠

What an absolute disgrace you clowns are. The airport needs at least something more than a vending machine. I believe the last coffee shop owner left because AS USUAL a shire got to greedy and forced the owner out with high rent. Just a disgraceful situation. Caters for FIFO workers who just finished work and want to go home. But just say the flight is delayed . Well out to the vending machine for some lunch. Wake up you fat cats with your snouts in the trough.
