The moreton sand dunes is a place worth visiting. You can access the place hiking towards Tangalooma point, and from the beach on your left you will see a track to climb up. The track is like 1km long, it can get very hot in the forest, make sure you have plenty of water. You can also come with a tour if you want to do sliding on the sand. The place is pretty big and you can just sit relax and admire nature.

I've never surfed dunes before. It was really fun! Bring sunscreen. The dunes in Glamis California are 5 times as large. These are still fun

We had a great time, I only managed one climb/slide down the sand Hill, my son done quite a few,
Our driver/guide Peter was fantastic, he's only new in the job, he's so good, you would think he's been there a long time, the photographer Steve was great too.

A beautiful place for having a lot of fun with sand tobogganing.

Amazing experience. Definitely a must do but the bus ride not for the soft hearted cause it can get very bumpy. The bus ride only takes 15 minutes and the tobogganing was so much fun, you get to spend over half hour at the site so everyone can have a few go's. Don't really need to pack anything with you as they provide water as well. Just bring your gorgeous self with a big smile! And obviously your camera! (There are a few amazing photographers there for you as well).

The Tangalooma tour out here is great. The option to sand toboggan whilst there is great too, but we had no idea of all the different coloured sands and the lightning strikes etc

Sand boarding is great fun and you probably go faster & further than you expect! You need to be able to walk up significant hills and prepared to get very sandy - may sound obvious but a number of people on our trip seemed strangely surprised.

Didn't slip down the hill but for the ones that followed instructor were sand free in the mouth 😁. Like many 4x4 tracks, little bumpy but great bus ride.

It’s a dessert, no surprises there. Plenty of sand to go around. Had a blast sliding down the dunes but probably need to work on my fitness a little bit before i go back again.

Very large expansive "desert" located south of Tangalooma. It is of a walkable distance from the Tangalooma resort (approximately 1.80km). To get there by foot, walk along the coastline towards the southern direction, then stop when you see a large triangle and walk inland towards the track. There is a large 35m tall sand dune suitable for sand tobogganing and the Tangalooma Island Resort holds sand Tobogganing activities at the site.

A truly beautiful landscape of cinematic quality, together with the mystery of its unknown origin that allures not only the eye with its spectacular sight but also captivates inquisitorial minds.

A trip to Moreton Island is not complete without an adventure to “The desert”. Take plenty of sunscreen and water because the sun is hectic during the day.

great day out, sand boarding down the slope is fun. a pity it's a massive effort to climb, i wanted to go again and again but couldn't physically make a 4th journey up. the spirit was willing, but the body is spongy and bruised...
