Just went for a day trip, and it was amazing. Caught the ferry over, which was about 1.5 hours. Then, we walked all the way down to the wrecks for snorkelling. The walk to the wrecks was quite far, but it was a beautiful stretch of beach.
We paid $90 each, which included the ride over, $25 lunch voucher (which is the perfect amount), a drink for the ferry, and access to all the resort amenities. Well worth the price.

Romantic spot.. So clean and well looked after. Great management right from the launch ferry. All staff hats off to your work and hospitality. Very welcoming and friendly.
It's definitely a great start right from the ferry from Holt St, Brisbane.
Thanks to the captain for wishing us an anniversary wishes ❤ while the announcement.
Short walk from the ferry drop off is one day day cruises.
We got on at 10AM launch and reached 11.15AM at Tangalooma island resort.
Just a 5 mins walk to a couple of bars and eateries. Near the reception and off the sea.
$25 coupons we were provided each for our lunch and $5 coupons to be used on the 🚢 boat.
Great value for a 1 day cruise.
Although it looks a bit expensive while purchasing the tickets. You totally get relaxed and amused on reaching the private island.
Blue waters and fishes around you right at the shores made our day. Beautiful weather and amazing scenery.
Unfortunately we couldn't get accommodation as they were sold out and also they is a minimum stay of 2 nights at least. Which we didn't find it attractive. Good for honeymooners and birthdays.
Overall, it was a great weekend destination. Our ferry launch started checking in around 3.30PM as 4PM we departed back to Brisbane.
I'm definitely coming back to explore other curriculum activities on the island like desert safari, snorkelling, helicopter ride, paragliding, dolphins feeding, massages, etc.
See you soon, Tangalooma team.
Cheers 🍻 and thank you for the lovely memories.

Truly surprised at some of the reviews. All the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Sure, your coffee may take a while during the morning rush but give them a break, or go outside of peak times. There are limited restaurants and menu options especially if you're staying more than 3 nights. But again, I think people should set their expectations when coming to an island resort. The resort shop (convenience store) sells basic ingredients for a sandwich (or pay $7.50 for a ham and cheese sandwich at the coffee lounge). They also sell meats so you can bbq yourself in designated areas. We stayed 3 nights in the newly renovated Kookaburra building, comfortable for 2 adults; a good walking distance from the reception/dining areas. The quad bike tour was a lot of fun so I highly recommend it. The desert area was relatively easy to walk to and absolutely stunning! All in all, the resort appeared to run very smoothly. It can't be easy, so credit to all the staff.

We stopped in here during a P&O cruise. They had live music from Geed Up (they get 5 stars too!) on at the pub, great food, awesome 10 out of 10 atmosphere, and they have a huge array of activities on offer. The water was crystal clear and absolutely pristine. Didn't rate for 'rooms' as we were only there for the day.

Absolutely beautiful resort. We stayed in a resort room with pool and beach views. Beds were comfortable and room was very clean. We enjoyed the activities that we did. Dolphin feeding, ATV bikes, snorkeling the shipwrecks and the sand dunes rides. Only regret is not staying longer. All the staff were really lovely. We will definitely be back!

The room I had was nice, but shower head kept falling down and the shower did have some mould inside it. But everything else was great.A little too much walking for me.Staff would pick myself and my mum up when ever possible and take us to places when the could.Staff were amazing.

I love this place, it is truly Brisbane's hidden secret. The beach is gorgeously soft and the water calm with tiny fish swimming happily around. It's worth the stay in the resort to give yourself more time to enjoy everything. Don't miss the spectacular sunset and there are ample BBQs so cooking is easy.

Visited recently, really impressed with the staff and the effort that's been made upgrading and updating the facilities. If you haven't been over in a while it's definitely worth checking it out again. Great spot for the kids too. Special shout out to the tangalooma photo centre, staff and quality of photo work outstanding and well worth picking a couple of photos if you head out on the adventures, the team manage to capture the moments perfectly! Thanks Steve!!

Use one day cruise-too shrort to enjoy. Towels are provided without deposit at reception. Staffs are kind. But too many customers cause to wait a lot at a restaurant. Activities can be chosen. Without them, you can enjoy beautiful scenery, waves and sand to enrich your mind.

Didn't stop over, jyst a day pass. Best advice us get 7am boat and do more, like hire a boat for 3hrs and go snorkelling.

Excellent resort with lots of sporty activities to do.
Diving, snorkelling, swimming, eating out, quad bikes, beach walks, parasailing and lots of other family friendly activities to do.
The ferry by itself is a great experience.
Highly recommended.

Loved the Day cruise and snorkeling. It was a guided tour with charlette. Loved it one of my mates didn’t knew swimming. She handled it well and made sure he didn’t miss any of the nice scenery's in the wreck🤩.

Would highly recommended these guys.

We were day guests at the resort, we were there for the whale watching trip and a helicopter flight.
We had an incredible day, such a fantastic day from start to finish. We watched the pelicans being fed, played on the beach, went in the pool - even if it was freezing! Watched the kookaburras being fed, had dinner and cocktails and saw fish, turtles, whales breaching and dolphins being fed at sunset.

If you can afford it and want to make memories I would absolutely recommend a day or stay - I'm sure that's great too - here, my only regret was forgetting to buy a souvenir at the gift shop.

A 3 night midweek stay- well, this place is beautiful. The deluxe hotel room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and perfectly aligned for the view of the ocean and beach. Great sized balcony with a drying rack too.
We had a cruise ship visit day, it made no difference to our enjoyment. Yes there were heaps more guests, but we just packed a picnic and set the cabana up further down the pristine beach.
The snorkel tour was amazing, the water sports crew did a great job checking everything and made us feel safe and happy during our time on the wrecks. Choppy conditions, but saw so much sealife!
These tours are great and take all the logistics out of getting to and from the wrecks. I can't rate this highly enough.
Yes, the food options aren't really to everyone's taste, but I've been before and know to bring snacks! Pizza is really good though!
Lastly, I managed to break my toe in the room. I know haha, but at least it was the last day! From Matthew the medic who was called to the room, the reception staff that organised a wheelchair and to the boat crew that safely got me on and off the boat- well, these guys were a credit to the resort. They showed genuine concern, compassion and a welcome sense of humour! 5 stars just for that! All in all, a perfect example of a resort getting it right. I've already booked again!

It’s our second year coming back to the resort. We’ve had the best time. The staff especially Caneron, Pat & Harry on the water activities are always so friendly. Our boys went on the banana boat ride twice and enjoyed it.
