Rue Paname

Anne-Sophie is a wonderful teacher, very engaging and a very easy person to get along with. She makes learning fun in a relaxed and comfortable environment. My French progressed very quickly in our one-on-one classes. I can not recommend Rue Paname enough.

I have studied French with Anne-Sophie continuously over the last 4 years and I have always found great value in what she offers. She mostly allows me to set the agenda and pace but she also identifies areas for focus and improvement. Anne-Sophie provides a friendly and professional learning environment. She is flexible to my changing circumstances and she responded quickly to the demands of Covid 19, ensuring a continuous service was available and working quickly. I would warmly recommend Anne-Sophie to anyone serious about learning French in Melbourne.

I have been a mature aged student of French with Anne-Sophie for a long time now. I prefer 1:1 lessons because I have the full attention of the teacher which is great for correct pronunciation and other immediate corrections and explanations. My lessons involve both conversation and grammar in a relaxed and enjoyable setting and new students will quickly appreciate the love for language and proficiency that Anne-Sophie has. I recommend that you do it, from beginners to advanced levels, you can’t go wrong.

Anne-Sophie is a fantastic teacher. Her curriculum is well structured and thorough and her personal style is warm, flexible and chilled. I really enjoyed our classes and the only reason I stopped is that I now live in France. If you put the work in, you will learn French with Anne-Sophie. Do it.

With Anne-Sophie, I am learning so quickly and having so much fun. I look forward to my french lessons every week and actually enjoy doing my homework. I did group lessons for a while and I much prefer these private lessons (at almost the same price) because I get instant corrections in my pronunciation, grammar and spelling. I get so much speaking time too. Needless to say, I feel like I'm improving really quickly. Anne-Sophie is a great teacher and a really nice person in general - I highly recommend!

I have been attending a group conversation class with Anne Sophie - along with three friends - for a couple of years, and it's a great way to learn and build confidence in speaking the language. Anne Sophie is always engaging and amusing as well as meticulous in correcting grammar and providing exercises that stretch our vocabulary.

I've been learning French with Anne-Sophie at Rue Paname for the past two years. She's a fantastic teacher who is supportive, knowledgeable, flexible and friendly. I learnt French for six months initially for a trip to France, which helped me to speak well and understand what I needed for travel and chats with locals. Upon returning to Melbourne I realised I loved the language and learning with Anne-Sophie, so I continued. My capacity for the French language has improved in a way I haven't experienced with learning French in the past. Anne-Sophie has tailored a class for our group of 4 which suits our needs perfectly: conversation, French culture, grammar, entertaining homework and a lot of laughs! We have been lucky to have other members of the Rue Paname team lead our class, from time to time, and that has also been a really valuable experience.

Anne-Sophie is a very good teacher. She will dedicate the full time to ensure that you learn as much as you can. She is very flexible with her timings. She talks in French most of the time so you can grasp the most. She gives a heads up on what we will learn next week. She will only give homework if you have time. Inside the class it is calm learning environment. She teaches by using games on the internet as well.

Anne-Sophie is very flexible in her approach, whether you want conversation, grammar etc. She is attentive to ways she can help you improve your French and lessons are tailored to your needs in an ongoing way. Her explanations are concise and she offers many useful summaries of grammar points. Plus, she is French! which helps with the accent, learning current idioms and about the culture.
