Top notch service and ambience, a beautiful old house on the riverbank with verandahs and garden seating under shady trees and jasmine. We had a late breakfast and the eggs Benedict were excellent, nice sourdough toast too. Good coffee. Thoughtful and attentive service.

Stumbled upon this wonderful and unique space and wish we could have planned our visit to stay longer. The location is sublime with beautiful breakfast views of the river, the food was absolutely delicious and the tasty cocktails were breathtakingly beautiful. The attention to detail ensured that nothing was overlooked or unattended and the hospitality was unparalleled. The hosts provide fantastic service and our family is eagerly anticipating our next visit. Don’t miss this delicious and unique stop!

A wonderful hidden gem. A lovely high tea equal to any that I've had anywhere! Great selection of teas, and variety of finger sandwiches combined with excellent scones and so many other goodies. Thanks so much to Tania for offering such a wonderful option with such care. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a day out. The garden is lovely with views out over the river and is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy your tea.

What a beautiful place!

My partner and I stayed in January at The Old Bank in the River Garden Suite and Alan and Tania could not have been more amazing. We were truly spoiled rotten. The service was exceptional, the care and detail into maintaining and renovating the most gorgeous property, was just out of this world amazing. We cannot recommend a stay at the Old Bank Accommodation enough. The food was also so delicious. We will be back! Thank you!

This hotel is one of its kind. We stumbled across Gladstone on a road trip and decided to book ourselves a weekend with our close friends.
This hotel is beautifully renovated and the attention to detail, is fantastic. Tania and Alan looked after us with care and gave us a historic tour of the building.
The rooms are comfortable, beds are great and dinner Saturday night to die for.
This is a five star place that you shouldn’t miss out on. It’s worth a detour. You don’t even have to stay the night if you just want to bring some friends for a great dinner. Just call Tania or Alan and they will go out of their way to help. We will be back for sure.

Outstanding establishment! The historic bank has been meticulously restored and renovated. The food is superb. This would be the perfect location for a wedding. The hosts are wonderfully considerate and welcoming. The atmosphere is beautiful and radiates old world charm.

Always always a lovely meal. Something a little different. Can’t go without the Raspberry and Chocolate Roulade. I will say no more! Also had a bit of a facelift - so more space to dine

We had our wedding and reception here on Saturday and the whole experience was fantastic. We wanted an informal, intimate family function and from the moment we first sat down with Tania and Alan we were confident they would deliver. They are consumate professionals and bent over backwards to ensure everything went off without a hitch. The stunning, renovated premises by the river made for a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony and the meal was absolutely first class, capped off by a delicious raspberry roulade which doubled as our wedding cake. We spent the night in the magnificent Magnolia Suite and were touched to find a wedding gift from the hosts waiting for us in our room. Despite being fully booked for a Mothers Day high tea the following morning, Tania offered to cater for any family members who wished to join us for breakfast on Sunday and of course the pancakes, eggs benny and big brekkies were also superb. We could not speak highly enough of the staff, the venue or the food at the Old Bank and many of our guests went out of their way to come and tell us how much they'd enjoyed the evening. Our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be, largely due to Tania, Alan and their team making the arrangements so effortless, and if we were holding another function on the Macleay this would be our go-to spot.

I’d be happy to leave all of my money with this bank. What a venue! Once again stoked with our annual visit to The Old Bank Gladstone. The Irish Dream tea is my favourite tea in the world and my brownie was amazing too. Service was fantastic and the venue is sooo beautiful, the best I’ve been to yet. You can always bank on the bank on the bank. Thanks for having us!
