I come here way too often because their vegan option of lemongrass tofu is just so delicious and the staff is so friendly and sweet. They fill the Bahn mi with care and love! Recommend!

Best Banh Mi in Melbourne

A vegetarian banh mi from Viet Rose Bakery has become my recent go-to lunch whenever I’m on Brunswick St, Fitzroy. Only $10 with a range of vegan mock meat options. It’s quick, cheap and totally delicious. Atmosphere is lacking and there’s limited seating, but for this type of food at this price point it’s to be expected.

Grate selection of Vietnamese street food, the Banh mi is a must try, one of the best I've had.

I had BBQ pork rice paper rolls which was delicious and my husband had a Bahn Mi and said it’s one of the best sandwiches he’s ever had.
Would literally drive the 2 hour round trip for another one! 😅 Yum!

Loved the Bahn mi here - Fresh bread and super tasty. Up there with one of my faves also it’s not a mess to eat.

I guess this is the great Bahn mi you can find here, one roll is definitely enough for one meal, If not, get 2 😆

I've sampled over 20 different banh mis across Melbourne and Viet Rose easily makes the best one out there. The crispy pork, in particular, is phenomenal.

Had a lemongrass tofu banh mi for lunch today and it was 10/10. Will definitely come back here and for $10 it’s a steal!

The Pork and Tofu rolls are sensational, availability of a vegan option, as well as wholemeal roll a big plus. The best part of the whole experience was unlike your usual in-and-out takeaway, and not because of their generous, well-priced portions. Kind hearted owners/staff that were so pleasant to deal with, blanketing the small shop with feelings of warmth.

This is the best Bahn Mi I have ever had in Melbourne.. The staff are so lovely and friendly and the food is tasty, plentiful and fresh!

Make this a must visit food place to experience!
