Best japanese restaurant in darwin, nothing fancy but the food is authentic and excellent made by a japanese chef, the price is so fair 👌👍

What a great little find this was. Really great Authentic Japanese food, simple, very tasty and great prices. They say u should never judge a book by its cover and this place may look a tad drab but what was served from the kitchen was super yummy and some of the best Japanese dishes I’ve eaten since being in Osaka for a while. Don’t miss out folks this food is Oishii!

This cafe is one of Darwin's little gems, a simple style cafe with a great range of authentic Japanese food at very reasonable prices. Available for dine-in or take-away with friendly staff and owner/operator. B.Y.O. ok for wine/beer, good range of cold drinks available.

The Chicken Katsu Curry is amazing, and the sushi tastes really fresh. I highly recommend if you want a reasonably priced Japanese restaurant.

Never had a bad meal from here, nothing fancy just amazing fresh cooked food.

Value for money. Portion is good and so delicious. Always my favorite.
Recommended: pork katsudon, oyakodon, takoyaki, squid salad

Sorry to mark down the atmosphere ... But don't let the basic look of the shop put you off, this place does a roaring trade and the food and service are amazing. All cooked fresh to order, Aiko-San is a champion 🤘👌

I have been around the world travelling. This is officially the best fried chicken in the world. I eat a lot of KFC but now I have discovered this place I feel I will never need to return to KFC again and not to mention this place is much much cheaper

The orders are made fresh and has a good authentic taste.
Reasonable prices. Its not overpriced like a few other places.

Best Japanese restaurant in Darwin region. The shop is own by a Japanese Chef (the only shop in town with Japanese owner) and his food is the closest to the real deal. I highly recommend this place.

Great Japanese food at an amazing price. Two people can get a good feed for less than $40 and servings are generous. The chicken Katsu-don is my favourite!

Never knew this place existed until a friend at work told me about it. Not much to look at but the Japanese food here is sensational. Great menu, well priced, fresh and tasty. Highly recommended

My favourite Japanese restaurant in Darwin. Japanese cuisine that is delicious and very affordable. Serving sizes are good and it doesn't take long for the food to come out. The karage fried chicken and vegetable croquettes are my go to meals. Great for dates or casual meals with friends.

First class, freshly prepared Japanese food, along with great recommendations from the chef, make this a great place for a lunchtime getaway. The staff are polite and the prices unbelievably good. I'm hesitant to recommend Rapid Café only because it's one of the best kept culinary secrets in the tropics!
