Ouyen Automotive & Electrical

I arrived into the town of Ouyen last Friday 6th October 2023 at 1.00pm, bought some groceries and upon restarting my Merc motorhome I was greeted with a terrible growling noise. I drove three blocks to the only mechanic in town and met Matt from Ouyen mechanical and electrical.

My air con clutch compressor had failed/exploded. Luckily I could drive to the nearby caravan park. Matt, confirmed late Friday avo that the replacement part was ordered and expected on Monday. The part did arrive and I was booked in for the repair job Tuesday 10th at 8.30am.

By 12.30pm I was on the road again - all fixed. Matt was very obliging fitting me into his already jammed schedule of work. His workmanship and service second to none and his pricing fair and honest.

I couldn’t have broken down in any better town or place. PS. The bakery in town is great and the nearby lake a delight to walk around. Thanks Matt

I found myself over 450km away from home, with a car that wouldn't start on 2 seper ate occasions, I was a bit worried about getting ripped off and taken for a ride.
I couldn't have been more wrong, the owner was friendly, professional and very patient with me, I thought it might have been the alternator or the starter motor but had no idea, he was kind enough to to have a look at my car that day, he tested everything and all I needed was a new battery.
I'm very grateful for finding a decent mechanic in the middle of nowhere, who didn't to me of, I've had no issues since, thank you.

I had the misfortune of Braking Down in Ouyen Last Tuesday Landrover Discovery and Needed a Tow The gentleman Who helped Me out was Fantastic and tried his Hardest to get Me going However being Holidays and a Imported Car didn't help Regardless He was Very Professional A Great asset to the RACV well done and Thank you Very Much Cheers Peter

We were travelling from Broken Hill to the Ballarat Swapmeet in our 80 series. Had an overheating problem. Pulled into Ouyen Automotive & Electrical unannounced and they kindly fitted the new thermostat we had, then and there. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Thanks guys 👍😀.

I was treated very well by Matt and his wife. The cost of my bearing service was very reasonable and they were friendly and honest. They went out of their way to help me and I will be forever grateful.
