Absolutely delicious! Had the vegan pho and it was a delight!!! The service was great! The venue had a nice atmosphere and the man who served us made the food aswell- and did it all with a smile and a Positive attitude. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back!

Pho was absolutely delicious. And so were the dumplings. They look like the fried money bags dumplings but steamed instead. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

This place is excellent, serving simple, wholesome and tasty meals at a great-value price. This is our fave Vietnamese place in Fitzroy that does both vegan and non-vegan food well. The service is so friendly here, and the standout dish for us is easily the salt and pepper tofu—not just because it’s delicious (which it most certainly is!), but also because the chef waits till we arrive to cook the tofu so it’s still crispy when we get it home. 😙👌 Hot tip: eat the salt and pepper tofu with a serve of coconut rice. Taste explosion, perfect salty/sweet/sour combo.

The vegan menu has plenty of options, so my wife always has heaps to choose from, and there’s plenty of stuff that we both love to share. I highly recommend you support this fantastic little local: in a year’s time, I reckon it will be one of those places that everyone raves about for its delicious and unpretentious offerings, so get in now while it’s still a local secret.

Everything we got was delicious (especially recommend the salt and pepper squid!) and the owner was very friendly and checked in to make sure everything was okay, even though he was quite busy. The food was also served quickly, impressive considering they didn’t have much staff. We will definitely be going back!

Loved the ambience. Unfortunately rhe air conditioning was off when we went there, but the food was great! The hanging plants were a nice touch and made the place feel more tropical. Definitely will come again.

Wonderful food, a skilled fusion of South East Asian cuisines, super affordable and miraculously produced by just this one friendly, hard working guy in a really cute restaurant down the end of Brunswick Street‘s hip-strip. Highly recommended. Give this little business some much deserved love.

East meets west is one of my go to restaurants. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming and the place itself, is beautiful. Their food is always spot on, catering to meat eaters to vegans, their salt and pepper tofu is to die for. I hope they stay around for a long, long time and I will continually recommend east meets west to anyone looking for tasty and authentic food.

This place is delicious! I came with 13 others for a work night out and the food was incredible. They cater for lots of different dietary requirements, lots of vegan stuff too (woo!) and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend everyone try this place!

My girlfriend and I came in here for lunch on a whim. They have plenty of vegan options on the menu, a very thoughtful and attentive staff, an AWESOME interior decor, and are very affordable. The food was delicious as well.

I love this place!
The menu is extensive and caters for all likes. They have an excellent variety of vegetarian options. The owners are so lovely and accommodating. Every time I go here I try something new and it never disappoints, full of flavour and generous servings.

This place is my go-to, really good soups (the vegan soups/food are so SO good!!), fresh ingredients, and the owners/staff are super lovely and provide excellent, smiley service! Also really reasonably priced which is a nice change to a lot of other food places on Brunswick St. It's cute inside and has a nice atmosphere... Love it !

Not only is the food amazing, the staff here really make this place special. They are the friendliest and most welcoming people. The food is tasty and very inexpensive. I have been here more than 10 times and will keep coming back.

Just had lunch at East Meets West. The steamed scallop dumplings were light and delicious, and the duck coleslaw amazing. Service friendly and helpful. Lovely to sit outside in the sun! Highly recommend!

Great spot for a low key and delicious dinner! Can't go wrong with an array of small plates: fresh rice paper rolls, prawn dumplings, and chicken satay.

An absolute hidden gem! Food is always fresh and delicious, yet affordable. Sometimes it’s just the owner cooking everything and serving, but somehow he’s always very attentive. We are now regulars!

Honestly this place is WONDERFUL!! The owner is very sweet and charming, customer service thumbs up. The food every time is so fresh and delicious, so much flavour!! I've been there a handful of times now and had the laksa, singapore noodles, salt n pepper squid, satay skewers, hokkien noodles and i was not disappointed by anything so far. The decor is super cute too, there's real plants hanging from the roof, you have to try this place!! There are so many restaurants in that area but this place is a gem - it's a new found fav!

Just had such a good lunch here! Chill restaurant with beautiful lanterns and indoor vines. Super tasty food and affordable. A real standout was the Singapore noodles. Will be back
