A hidden Gem with a great variety of food options. Have lived close to this restaurant for quite some time and recently attended. Their menu is fabulous and so is their Buffet and drink options. Good variety of veg and Non-Veg dishes, with a tasty drinks menu and presentation. Staff and atmosphere is always lovely and welcoming.

Have already visited 4 times this month and there are plenty more visits to come.

We've been to Swagat for the buffet over the past few months and it has been great each time, especially value for money. It's a bit of a hidden gem to find and inside looks like little Italy. The food choices are awesome with authentic flavours and great quality. Great for all including families and those wanting to have a function. Highly recommend 👌.

We had our baby shower function at Swagat for 50 people in April 2024. Everything was spot on - be it the food, staff service and the venue. The rates are reasonable with no compromise on quality of the service and food. Our guests really enjoyed the venue and food. Everything was well managed by Mr. Pritpalji. He communicated with us in a timely manner and was also flexible in accommodating our small requests. I definitely recommend this venue for party / functions.

This is a hidden gem in Thomastown! Their decor us super unique and unlike anything I have seen before. But then came the food which was even more amazing that the decor! Superior flavours, a variety of dishes and really good quality presentation! Perfect for any kind of event! I loved loved loved the dhal makhni and butter so highly reccomend when choosing from the catering menu! Also their meats are Ll halal so perfect to feed your guest too!

I recently had the opportunity to try a Buffett experience at this restaurant.
I have to say that hands down it is one of the best places serving Indian food.

Especially their snacks which are exactly what you’d want to eat and definitely remind you of Home.
Also really enjoyed their dal makhni and kadahi paneer, must try’s for sure.

For dessert I had the ras malai which was soft, spongey and not overly sweet.

Can’t wait to be back!

P.S. their decor is also quite unique which makes for a great environment to have food in.

Swagat restaurant located in Thomastown is totally worth a visit. The food is really good. They have a wide range of starters and authentic North Indian food. Everything we tried was very delicious.
The interiors are European inspired & very pretty. Every corner of the restaurant is instagrammable. It is also a great space for events and parties. You are sure to have a good time here.
Perfect to visit with family or to celebrate your next special event!

This was located in Thomastown suburb. Can catch Mernda train from Melbourne City and get down at Keon Park station. From there, it is walkable.
We were welcomed with papads by a person called Taran and his entire service was very good and gentle.
The food was so yummy 😋, as we ordered panipuri, samosa chat, murg tikka, amritsari fish and pineapple mint mojito. The quantity was decent and worth for every penny.
The ambience was soo good and it is suitable for lunch/dinner/ parties.
We will visit next time and have to try the main course also.

Went for the Buffet recently. Great quality food and the buffet was always refilled at regular intervals. Food was hot. Price needs to be increased, $20 is very cheap for such a great food in the Buffet. Ambience is great. Will visit again. Thank you for the great service and experience.

we did catering for 50 people on my daughters's Birthday from Swagat.
The new management was very good especially Mithu he guide us for which menu items are good for catering which is suitable for both vegetarian and non- vegetarian.
Food was so delicious, all the items either entree and main course.
Everyone love zafrani chicken and veg manchurian, Dal Makhani, chicken , Goat is also very yummy but little bit bone..
i forgot to mention lollipop chicken which everyone enjoy with drinks.
Food was more than enough for 60 people.
i am very thankful for Mithu, for food and making our party memorable.

We hosted our daughter's 18th bday here. We couldn't be happier. Guests loved the place and the ambience. We had live music that complimented the venue . Food was really good. No complaints. Mr. Pritpal makes you feel at ease and accommodates any requests . Very easy to interact with.
The bartender and the rest of the kitchen staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

This is such a colourful, interesting venue to have a function at. The indoor resembles a village square. Unique concept indeed. Banquet was very nice and especially a goat dish. It’s a perfect size venue for your next family function.
