Edgewater Boulevard Pharmacy

2 new (young) owners of this pharmacy. Both very friendly and helpful. They are in the process of assessing and updating their pharmacy general supplies too, so hopefully they'll have a better range of general chemist supplies in the future. I ordered my usual medications in taxi on the way there last month and they were very open to having my monthly prescriptions ready when I arrived at the Pharmacy so I didn't waste time while my taxi was waiting for me to take me back home.

The previous reviews do not represent the lovely young pharmacists running this chemist now - which from other comments indicates it is under new management. Amazing service, definitely recommend!

The pharmacist was extremely helpful and lovely. He took the time to help me find the best items that I needed for my symptoms and gave me detailed explanations when comparing certain products. He was patient with me when answering my questions and the opening hours of this pharmacist makes it an easy win when I have to decide what will be my local pharmacy.

Only here to do pickup for my online package. There's a small queue as there's only 1 staff.
It didn't take very long when it was my turn.

The head pharmacist Youssef is extremely condescending, rude and does not respect privacy. When asked if I could pick up enough of my repeat prescription to last til Wednesday due to financial circumstances, then collect the rest and pay then, which I have done once before last year without query. He snapped ‘why?’ Very rudely, forcing me to explain I couldn’t afford them til then. Then followed to shout over the counter about when it was last dispensed, how this is my last prescription and I need another doctors appointment to get more after this, to which I said ‘yes, I know. It’s a repeat which is why it’s been dispensed before. I am aware this is the last repeat’ to which he kept repeating very condescendingly ‘you understand what I’m saying?’ Very loudly infront of a Que of people. I actively avoid going to this pharmacy when he is there, unfortunately, he is always on when I come in. If you want to feel respected, have your medical issues met with compassion and humility, and to keep your privacy, AVOID THIS PHARMACY. Both woman and the young man are great, but I won’t be returning after I’ve collected my remaining meds due to Youssef. Learn some kindness and decorum.

Rude does not even BEGIN to describe the pharmacist in this chemist. He blatantly refused to refund goods that he told me in person I could return if they were not needed. He wouldn't even exchange them for other goods we needed. AND he raised his voice enough to make my baby cry. DO NOT give this establishment any of your time or money. Head around the corner to Chemist Warehouse.

Prices are incredibly high and the male pharmacist is condescending and plain rude if there's no one else around. The female pharmacist is great but I'm not sure when she's there so it's easier to go elsewhere. I was happy to pay for the convenience but after the last run in with the male there's no way I'm coming back.
