Pointe Nation Adult Ballet

Attended the foundation program for the first time this week and I had so much fun! Olivia was very encouraging and although it’s an adult class and not for pros she still gave us really good feedback on the techniques. Look forward to coming in again!!

So glad to have discovered an adult’s dance studio in the north, that specialises in ballet! I could not rate Pointe Nation higher. I’ve loved coming here and being able to grow and challenge myself. The teachers have all been fantastic and provide constructive feedback in an encouraging environment. The lovely open studio with tarkett floor is a dream to dance on.

Pointe Nation is a ballet lovers’ haven. Beautiful, thoughtful, professional teaching in a joyful, welcoming, and accepting environment. Continuing a love of ballet as an adult is a gift. Sharing that love at Pointe Nation is a treasure.

I had a trial at another ballet studio and found that the teacher had too many varying levels for absolute beginners class, whereas this has been a perfect introduction to ballet as an absolute beginner/adult. The instructions were crystal clear. Individual feedback was provided to improve position, balance and movement and I felt that this was exactly the sort of "proper" ballet class I have always wanted to take. I'm so very impressed!!!

Pointe Nation is one of the very few ballet schools in Melbourne that actually offer pointe classes for adults, including classes for complete beginners to pointe! I have been taking pointe classes since late 2022 and the quality of instruction is excellent. Teachers are always very helpful and happy to break down any steps or answer any stupid questions you might have, and as there are several levels of pointe available the classes never feel too difficult or unachievable. I have improved enormously in just a few months taking classes here!

Pointe nation also offer regular ballet classes as well, and I absolutely love these classes! They are always interesting and varied and not just boring soulless repetition of the same exercises each week. The teachers are always passionate, knowledgeable and inspiring role models, in fact I think I have fallen back in love with ballet again thanks to the teachers at Pointe Nation!

Hands down the best studio I've been to! Super accepting and encouraging! This studio saw my entire transition as a trans woman over several years and the teacher and students are more accepting than pretty much anywhere else I've been! I love this place!

Would 100% recommend. Teachers and so lovely and knowledgeable. Perfect place to start ballet without experience. Lots of parking around the studio and places to change. Wearing ballet gear or active wear are both fine and you get a mix in the classes. The level 1 classes on the Saturday are usually smaller so you can get more teacher corrections if you want more specific feedback.

This is a wonderful ballet school and is so friendly and welcoming. It can be daunting to try something new or to try again after a long break but everyone here is so friendly and encouraging - there is no judgement at all. The owner Liz is a fantastic teacher for adults - is patient and knowledgeable, offers clear corrections and explanations on technique but most importantly allows each student to dance their own style and to just enjoy the movement.

Pointe Nation is a beautiful studio that is welcoming to dancers of all levels. The teachers work hard to strengthen the technique of their students while filling their classes with the joy of dance. They take the job of teaching adult students seriously and allow them to progress at their own pace to become the best dancer they can be.

Great ballet studio! Liz is professional and offers specific feedback to students which is amazing. The studio space is decent with air conditioning. A great place to dance regularly!
