Hudsons Coffee

Great coffee shop inside Launceston airport. I had an awesome ham and cheese toasted sandwich and a lovely iced coffee with some caramel syrup. delicious. it can take awhile for order if there is a plane about to take off, as there's lots of people waiting for the plane, but it's understandable and I didn't mind waiting at all, it was worth the wait.

Wonderful welcoming hospitality from the lovely young lady, Summer who was very patient with me as I waited a few hours for my flight. I appreciated the cheerful service. Highly recommended.

After being delayed on my flight from Launceston to Adelaide I was feeling a little enervated. It was delayed so much so that we couldn't even go through into the departure lounge. I stood, hands in pockets, kicking loose rock fragments with my La Costes outside by the taxi stand wondering if I'll ever make it to my destination. Another part of me thought to just wave down a driver and head back into town, and entirely give up on my dream of seeing Maggie Beer's Farm.

Suddenly, a waft of roasted coffee beans, assumingly from the plantations of a South American country, met my senses. I followed the scent and came across Hudson's Coffee. I gazed in amazement at the delicacies on offer behind a clear glass window. There were chicken caeser wraps, mediterranean sandwiches, an assortment of croissants and muffins. I was wondering how I got so lucky.

"What can I get you?" Came a friendly voice from behind the counter. He wore a fresh Hudson branded shirt with two of the three buttons warped through the button holes. His hair was neatly brushed over to one side which complimented his clean stubble.

I choked on my words and took a big gulp. What was I going to get? "Ahh, umm, one almond croissant and a latte please."

"Great, I'll do them up for you now."

When they came out, I was sent into a 'foodie' heaven. I took a bite and realised some serious professionals had been working away in the Hudson Kitchen wherever that may be. What you want in a croissant is that crispy crunch on the end of your teeth as it then moistens up in your mouth. It had it all.

The coffee was that of a barista with a twirly moustache wearing overalls in a Melbourne laneway. I couldn't believe what I was drinking. It was the first time ever I had removed the lid at the end of my coffee consumption and dipped my forefinger into the deluge to get just that little bit more. My manners had completely disappeared, but I didn't care, for that moment in time I was invisible to the world with just my Hudson's coffee.

Next time I'm in Launceston, I won't hesitate to come back to Hudson's at the Airport.

First time I,ve had a decent espresso since arriving back in Tasmania from Italy.

Had a coffee while waiting for my flight, made by a girl called Summer. Was very well made with awesome latte art.

Staff were so efficient when it was very busy and the pasta salad was great for a cold salad.

Super green salad so fresh and tasty and packed with nuts and dried fruit, had to take a photo so I can try and make it myself at home. Friendly helpful service and nice peaceful spot.

Amazing experience! I got a cup of coffee in Launceston airport with Steph, the lady who's working in coffee bus, great customer service and friendly. Coffee was nice, I'll return back if I have to be at the airport again.

Great coffee, delicious food and friendly customer service. It's always a pleasure grabbing a bite to eat while waiting for my plane.

Staff were very busy during my visit and the wait was a while, but the woman who served me was so lovely and my coffee was delicious - very happy with my experience.

I used to visit this cafe every Friday morning with my friends after Fajr prayer at University of Tasmania in Newham. Had some cappuccino and croissant! What a morning! The place is clean and tidy. Must visit and have a cup of coffee here!
