400 Gradi - Essendon

We were hosted by the lovely Katie this evening. Her service was exceptional from start to finish. She was so friendly and courteous. Katie recommended some lovely dishes and a beautiful bottle of Merlot. The food was amazing!!! Highly recommend all dishes pictured. A BIG thank you to Katie and compliments to the chef on such a great dining experience. Looking forward to our next dinner!

Wonderful atmosphere and spacious premises, the undivided attention of the fabulous Tiyana and staff, and yummy fresh food plated beautifully in good portions made for an enjoyable experience. Glad we went to 400 Gradi and very much looking forward to returning!

We dine at 400 Gradi frequently. The food is excellent. Particularly the pappardelle al funghi and lasagne. You can't go wrong with the pizza either. We love the margarita, valcano, and capricciosa. The buratta starter is nice, although you have to order a flat bread separately. We don't usually have desert as we usually over order starters and mains. If you the Italian pavlova is fantastic we also tried the flower less cake.

We went here with our family from NZ before they headed back home and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious- the cured meats and pizza bread - divine, the burrata was sooooo good and the pizzas were incredible . The seafood pasta and risotto was delicious according to the family and the kids bolognese, chips and pizza were an absolute hit so much so MR 6 said let’s move to Italy and gave it 10/10 😂! The family also enjoyed dessert and said it was yummy! Will definitely be back was so enjoyable!

Excellent service! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had the special pumpkin arancini which was amazing. The meal was very good value for money as well. Definitely would dine in here again!

To start, the service was amazing, Kate was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever been served by. The food was 10/10 and cooked to perfection. And to top it all off, the bartender Matt, gave us multiple different recommendations for drinks, made them promptly and they tasted sublime.

Would 100% go back again! We ordered a double mozzarella margarita pizza and a spicy salami pizza. These were some of the best pizzas I’ve had. The flavours are so perfectly balanced and the pizza base thin and chewy. It’s a little pricier than your local pizza takeaway joints, but considering the food quality, service and environment, it was totally worth it.

Amazing Italian. My partner and I ordered take out from here and the Uber Eats app stuffed our order. The staff quickly saw we were waiting and chased up the issue, which wasn’t their fault. Despite this they looked after us with good, old fashioned customer service. Sat us at the bar and shouted us a drink while they prioritised our order. I rarely see this anymore and it made it such a good experience. Also, the food was outstanding. Pizza and pasta for us and I’ll be coming back to dine in.

There are plenty of options to choose from.
"Feed me" option for a group of 4 or more is highly recommended. We've been here twice with a group of 6 and both times the chef was happy to substitute some options depending on our dietary requirements...

We came to 400 Gradi for a family dinner and were pretty tight with time. The food came out incredibly quickly and was absolutely delicious. Everything was amazing. Our waitress Anu provided excellent service and was very attentive. We will be back ❤

We celebrated a LARGE family (90th) birthday and thoroughly enjoyed the way the whole event ran. Emily and the team were super-attentive, drinks arrived promptly and the steady stream of food was fresh, delicious and sometimes overwhelming (but still disappeared before the plates made their way to the dishwasher).

We love Tiana. She was beyond amazing, her positive smile and willingness to help us was tremendously appreciated. Would definitely come back as the food was 10/10 and of course Tiana was just such a great host. She made us laugh and cheered us on when we demolished our food. I’m so happy!!!

We were there earlier this week and we must say service is on point. Yohinee took great care of our table and ensured we were satisfied with everything that was served. Food was excellent as well. Her team moved swiftly and made sure everything was done. Kuddos to her and the team.

We had a lovely evening at 400 Gradi Essendon. The food was great and very tasty. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
The overall experience was wonderful and Anu was awesome and very professional.

We were served tonight by TJ (Tiahna) who was just wonderful. We had a large group of 13 and she was friendly and efficient and went out of her way to take care of us. The food was lovely as always. Thanks!

Bought relatives from Naples to Gradi for dinner and they felt like they were at home. They absolutely loved the food. Thank you for the great food and service, was a lovely evening.

Great ambience and service. Couldn't decide on what to eat and was recommended to some fantastically delicious food. Definitely will return to try the other food when we return to Melbourne. Good to call ahead to check/reserve a table because it was packed with people.
