Great day had for practice matches.
I would love to see the Doggies play a few afl games back here. A real sense of community if they did. The ground will be amazing when all the renovations are complete. GO DOGGIES 24.

AMAZING
great for dogs supporters like me, i love coming over here and seeing the progress with the redevelopment. During open trainings there is plenty of space to get jumpers signed and the shop and membership booths are set up in a great area

Changed a lot much better these days still alot more changes coming with construction not finished but worth a visit

great oval! Has toilets, a cafe and lots of seating for a club ground. The food trucks for the games were very nice and had vegan and vegetarian options available. :)

So glad that they’ve brought back footy at this historic ground named after a bulldog legend . Such a great atmosphere watching the footy here as they also have the bulldogs shop and revamped museum if anyone’s interested in looking back at the history of the bulldogs and the bulldogs shop if you want some merch and there’s even a cafe .

Great atmosphere and venue.
Short lines for food.
I haven't found any special diet options.
Loving watching football at this venue again.
Family friendly.

Lived behind Whitten Oval in the 80's, a great place, will look even greater after the renos are done!

I'm just going to say that vu Whitten oval is a place where we are together with the spirit of fair play with the spirit of good sportsmanship and with the spirit of the man who our beloved oval is named, Vale Teddy Whitten,footballs legend,the club's beating heart and soul, to us the fans of the game,fans of the team that along with us make the club, together at the vu Whitten oval we are Footscray,one eyed and one for all,we are the Footscray Bulldogs, and on our hallowed ground for our day in the sun, the Bulldogs shine and we will always be united, I love Footscray,best place in the world I wreckon.

Best ground to watch AFLW. One of my happy places.

The oval is opened to public. Turf is always well maintained and carpet like. Why would you go anywhere for a kick when you can come here.

Electric atmosphere back at the old ground. It's great to see the old suburban ovals come back to life for women's AFL.

The seats are uncomfortable as I remember so taking a picnic blanket to sit on the grass is recommended. Or maybe bring your old Western Oval seat warmer.

Great old school oval with a great oval, ok stands and an amazing view of the city.

Great suburban ground to watch the footy. You can see the VFL men and women's games and AFLW games. Great family atmosphere to watch the Western Bulldogs play. Go Dogs! Woof!

Watched the Western Bulldogs AFLW team have a memorable victory over the Geeling Cats. Great facilities and a real family atmosphere. My two friends who don't even follow football had a great time and will be coming back again.

Great place to visit if you love the western bull dogs. There a small cafe that you can get a snack and there's merchandise stores for all your doggie needs
