NAB Branch - Williamstown

John Tran did an excellent job refinancing our home loan from another lender. He was extremely helpful in collecting all the relevant documents and done quickly and easily.

I can't understand all these awful reviews. Every time I come into this branch everyone is so helpful and never do I have any issues. I have been a customer with NAB for a few years now and will continue to provide them support.

I work in retail where we have had loyal customers for 30 years+ and what upsets me the most and after reading some of these reviews are that, we have treated these customers so well for 30 years no issues, but when one tiny thing goes wrong (remember we are all human) then its the end of the world. Take a long hard think about that one! Its a two way street.

I guess the reality is, that when someone has a good experience never will they post it or write a review, only when they feel they have had a 'bad' experience.

Staff are friendly and branch manager, Chantel is helpful and efficient. Seems to be a busy bank at lunch times but other times is good and generally fast service.

I went in to the branch to have ID verified, Claudia the Branch Manager helped me straight away, very prompt and friendly service.

Sorted out my issue with the account very efficiently, staff are very knowledgeable very good service.

I was served yesterday by a new employee. At the time the service I required, was something she wasn't properly trained in.
I understand she is new, I respect that and there's things she hasn't been trained but you dont want to make mistakes with peoples accounts. When I told her what I wanted, I assuming she knew right away, its something outside her knowledge. She shouldn't have attempted to provide me with the service without asking for help instantly.
Thanks for the long term employee next to her, who corrected her service.

Just visited this branch and made deposit with coins and notes, and the teller didnt understand how to count or deposit transaction. It took 15 min wait, i was grateful for the seating and stools while i waited. Very bad for disabled people, its appalling that in a technology age, tellers cant count coins and tried to force me to use coin machine.

Closed for renovations, told by staff that ATM out front will still be available, no that's gone.
Told I could withdraw from Post Office - they tell me only $200 withdrawal.
You closed Altona Branch, so I supposed to drive to Maribyrnong to enter a NAB - seriously - not good enough

22 Sept 2023 I was advised by phone banking people that I have to go to the branch to close my bank acct, but Susan in the Williamstown branch took forever (more than 20 min) to process my request without fulfilling my request. She looked quite confused for closing a simple transaction acct when she had verified 100 points IDs from me and got my acct details. Then, she asked me to took a seat as she need to call another department to check something, I dont know what else she need to check? I never used the NAB acct, 0 balance all time. I left the branch disappointed. Luckily, my acct was closed within in 5 min after I contacted the digital personal banker, Lilian via my mobile app, in the same day.

So NAB pays Susan for doing nothing but tapping her fingers on the keyboard all day, interesting.

Will never go back. After being directed to internal atm to deposit cash which the teller was putting in, halfway through the screen froze and just like that a large sum of money was stuck. It took one week for the funds to be replaced into my account and not once was I called by NAB to assure me everything was being sorted. I had to ring them each day to find out what the status was. Appalling and I will be taking my banking elsewhere.

Their system is always down when you want to open an account. Always have to go a second time. When you finally get it down, they get your address wrong. This happened to my family member first and then to me. Took my family member a few months to get his card because they keep making a mistake in the address. Now, it is happening to me. The call centre was very helpful though and is helping me to sort this out.

Come to get some cash out it's more than 2k .I'm 2nd person in the line took 1 hours. It's discusting. I'm going change my bank after this. 1 star is too much. There are so incompetent. Useless

Service was very poor. Staff were rude and did not help with the problem and simply said 'you can't do that'. I tried to deposit in to a uBank account which I would think would be common given they are linked. I was offered little support and told to call uBank to sort it out.

Absolutely useless. Nab in general has been the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with and this branch takes the cake. Staff are rude, they don’t answer there phones, they don’t communicate well and they don’t seem to have any idea what’s going on.

Terrible service. Rude unhelpful staff. 40 year customer and get dreadful service when they are asked for written information.Thery query cash withdrawals. Threaten no service if staff get asked for proof of bank policy.

Staff are lovely but there are never enough of them. Every time I go in it's a 20 minute wait minimum.

Worst bank ever. So slow staff got no idea. Don't come here run.

15yr customer n Almost a year has gone by n the call centre had to sort my issue while I was fighting a health issue at it’s worse, they’re a miserable bunch n I’ve had anxiety attacks going into this branch, no smile, no conversation, they go into work just to get paid yet the customer service don’t exist, they don’t want to do that part, just can’t be bothered, a miserable bunch, unfriendly faces, I’ve watched how all sorts of customers some with businesses get treated very poorly it’s a disgrace, the Asian guy is the only decent one who’s attentive with info n support to the best of his knowledge n with a smile, the others don’t treat you in the same manner n let this guy down big time for me, if your lucky enough to see him you will have a pleasant experience.

There is no consciousness of timing in attending customers.lethargic service
