Really good in house service but the only reason they didn't get a 5 was because their business lending service is a disgrace... not replying to calls or emails for days and when they do reply not answering the questions. Again really good people in store though.

Fully 50% of the time I have visited here, their systems have been down. This is a problem as comm bank have seen fit in recent years to close a lot of suburban branches. Who wants to spend their whole afternoon going to the bank?

I have been with this bank for over 15 years. I went in today to make another savings account where I was able to deposit money into the account, but I could not withdraw unless I went into the bank. I also wanted to be able to see my funds from the Commbank app, but not be able to transfer money out of that account into another account. The greeter said that would be fine but I needed to wait for someone else to help me, the same lady took me 5 minutes later...
I explained what I wanted and at first she didn't seem to understand what I wanted, and she then referred to "Locking" my account. I said that would be fine but I want to
1.See the funds
2.Deposit into the account but not withdraw (without a signature.)
She said I could do this but the manager would have to sign off on that. I said that would be fine and we did the process.

She then sits me down and explains that I would have to "hide" the account in the app when I didn't want to transfer the funds out of it. I explained that she never told me that, and explained again what I wanted. She then brought up how it was a new rule the banks made since COVID, which was convenient she never mentioned this until the account was made. I said she should have told me from the start so I didn't need to be there during work hours and waste my time. Once I wanted to leave and we were near another employee and SHE BEGAN TO GAS LIGHT ME, saying that she told me from the start and expressed this new COVID rule when I walked in!!
I will avoid being serviced by her in the future.

They are closed for lunch between 12 to 1pm! Maybe the website needs to be upadated to let customers know in advance!

0 stars for this disgusting bank! I am a decades long customer with a 7 figure account in that bank and worth much more and receive rent which is paid into this disgusting bank monthly and I could not get a credit card because I do not have a piddling job earning minimum wage. CASHLESS is the way to go as these banks have too much power and petty clerks and bank tellers assume too much power.

I’ll never understand the concept they are running with where the public can see all your Financial details as it’s all done in public.

As in the computer is in the middle of the store where people wait around and line up while they’ll go through all your financials with you and display it on a screen.

Not only that it’s the worst, with long wait times. Do not recommend.

Had an absolutely terrible experience at Williamstown, Victoria branch today. Was made to wait 25 minutes for a prior appointment. Also was told personal loans can only be arranged in-person, even though no banks are open on weekends right now, and us full-time professionals only have limited windows during business hours in which to conduct these kinds of services. Despicable, terrible and unprofessional service. You're a big 4 bank. Do better!

Service is negligible and badly managed. I waited in line for 5 minutes trying to make eye contact with a rep, only to have one walk straight past me and talk to the person who had just walked in about what they needed help with. The rep then wrote down the name of the person who had just walked in and I had to literally trap a rep to get their attention to record my name down on this ‘waiting list’.
Absolutely ridiculous and not the service I would ever expect from the bank I’ve been with for over 20 years.

I was told I couldn't open a bank account until a third party (SA Global) did a search to verify my business - it would take up to 24 hours!!!! I said they could log into ABR and verify it in 30 seconds but apparently banks have still to learn the concept of customer service and leave the hidebound stupidity behind. Either that or incompetency is alive and well at all levels still

- applying for a home loan, changing details - you'll be doing it out in the open with everyone listening

This is our local, but you're better off going to Altona North branch where we always had a pleasant experience.

Extremely frustrating, i was advised someone will be calling me back regarding my enquiry next day afternoon, however its been a week and i have been trying to call Williamstown branch everyday and no one bothers answering call. I would give less then one star if it was possible.
