A beautiful hike with some easy scrambling sections. A good introduction to rock scrambling with no intimidating bits. Lots to explore around the trail and beautiful views. Highly recommended.

Best hike/climb I've ever done, better than the Pinnacle loop in my opinion, but shorter. Go through the caves, there are a few around, it'll be super memorable!

Enjoyed a fantastic morning Wondering around different areas of Hollow Mountain. Snuck up through the main cave at Hollow Mountain and found some amazing photo opportunities.

Slightly challenging hike in some places. Be prepared to scramble over some rocks and take care especially when there’s been rain. Not a long hike but takes a while to get up to the top due to navigating the rocks. Wear good shoes and be prepared to maybe have a stack… and then laugh about it!

One of the best climbs I have ever done!! We want more like this!

The start was hard, once actually rock climbing it was steady going and you get some breeze and the views just keep getting better!

100% recomend!!

What an underrated mountain hike! We spent a long weekend at Grampians and did the popular Pinnacles, Boroka, Reed & balconies but this one - Hollow Mountain was the highlight!

Granted it was a 35min car ride on gravel road from Halls Gap, I wasn't planning to put this on the list but was recommended by my boss friend, saw some photos and decided we had to make this stop.

The hike was marked as a Level 4 hike, i.e steep and challenging as there are parts where you need to rock scramble to the top - but only a short stretch.

For the short-ish hike up (1 to 1.5 hours) it's a very rewarding view up there, there's quite a few different sights to see of it's beautiful rock formations, caves and canyon looking cliffs!

Loved every bit of it and planning to come back with my family. Note that we hiked this on a sunny day, can imagine it being quite a challenge for slippery rocks if it's a wet day.

NOTE: Make sure to follow the yellow arrows when finding your way hiking :)

It is a challenging hike but also to get there as the mountain road was not a proper road but gravels. Definitely worth a visit. Meet a few photographers which suggested that this is one of the best scene especially during clear sky.

A great hike, follow the yellow arrows while climbing, greatful scenic views. Carry water while hiking, have your own gear it involves heavy rock climbing at certain places. Have some snacks to eat while enjoying the view.

This is far solid walk with a bit more of a scramble to the top.

Not ideal for someone looking for a casual stroll but absolutely perfect for those looking for a bit more of a climb.

Very popular hike. Great views of Mt Zero and Mt Stapylton. Involves some rock scrambling with a few exposure sections and a cave climb

Hiking in Gariwerd Country.

I had the privilege of experiencing one of the best rock face hikes ever. It's truly a wonderland up there on the rocks, and the 360-degree view from the top is absolutely stunning. Upon reaching the summit, you'll feel an incredible sense of serenity that can't be bought anywhere. Take your time to engage with the magnificent view and pay respects to our ancestors for a moment.

If you're planning to visit this place, be aware that it requires a high level of hiking skill, ranging from level 3 to 5. The hike involves a few rock climbing and cliff walks, which can be dangerous, especially when the wind is blowing. Be sure to bring plenty of water and some snacks, and most importantly, carry a first aid kit. This climb is not suitable for children under 12, and you must be fit and not afraid of heights. Additionally, it's essential to have proper shoes with good grip, and if possible, bring a hiking stick.

It's important to remember that Gariwerd country is the land of our ancestors, so we must be respectful, safe, and enjoy our hike up here.

Nice walk! Takes about 1h30 if you take time to enjoy the view and take pictures. Not very steep, only a bit tricky near the end. Definitely worth it!

The trek is amazing, it's difficult but the view at the end makes it all worth it. I would recommend not to do it on a hot/sunny day but nevertheless bring water with you, my estimate, roughly 1.5 litre per person should be enough.
