The starting point for Mt Gar hike and some other trails. Easy directions. Alright place for a picnic. Not that many people in spring but can get a bit busy during public holidays.

Great campsite with the trails beside the drop toilets. Briggs Bluff has a challenging but awesome hike with spectacular views. Note: don’t trust Apple Maps, it’s on the left, 5 klm’s before the Apple destination on the right, which is a private property.

Basic drop toilets. Every camp site has table and camp fire place. Just a great spot.

My daughter said she felt like she was in a different country here! But I felt it was very much Gariwerd😊 A very new looking campsite, I chose a site that was a ‘no vehicle/tent only’, and I was very worried about how far we would have to carry our things, but it was not far at all! 20 steps maybe. Tap water for washing up available at drip toilets, bring ur own drinking water. A friendly little fix would visit in the night 🦊 Fire pit and table at every site. One of the bigger sites would be great to relax with a group of friends. Water wasn’t flowing in creek in April but great walk up the rock and water to be found there but we didn’t swim.

Great place to camp and also after some heavy rains great set of 4 waterfalls to view and mainly Gar Falls after approx 3 to 4 km walk and is medium type of walk as easy but there is some uphill sections and Creek crossings.

A group of us camped here overnight during the busy long weekend when all campsites in the NP were fully booked 2 weeks ahead. This campsite is very much overlooked, either due to the low rating or possibly it’s further up north (30mins from MacKenzie Falls).

Probably one of the best sites we’ve camped in which was peaceful & gave us privacy. Large and spacious each with a 5x5m tent pad, (plus extra room for a 3x3m gazebo), picnic table & firepit. Basic amenities of 3 drop toilets (inc 1 disabled) plus an unfiltered bore-water tank.

Also beautiful views of Mt Difficult right outside your tent.

Incredible site. Came into some poor weather but we will be back. As said previously bring your own water. The drop toilets are clean. Great views. Got too windy for us and unfortunately the tent collected too much dust. Can’t wait to come back soon but this time better prepared!! Site A can accommodate a few tents with great company close by but not too close (sites located at a healthy distance but also creating a sense of community in camping season). Hope this helps.

Within 1 hour of the campground you will come accross 6+ waterfalls heading up to Gar. The further you go the bigger the falls get. I was there mid July so the water was running freely. The going is easy with only one small section where you have to walk up some steps. I only went to the largest falls then turn around and came back but it only took me 30 minutes to return. Comfortable walk, highly recommended.

Great camp site. It feels very new, clean and spacious. It has fire pits and dining table for each tent, which is a plus if you don't like sharing. Good base to explore northern Grampians, especially if you want to hike the Mt. Difficult track which starts at the camp ground.

This campsite is awesome! Great sized campsites, secluded area away from the business of The Grampians, right underneath Mt. Difficult. New facilities, long drops, but clean enough. Firepits for every camp site. Highly recommended nn
