Ngamadjidj Shelter

Just a cool spot regardless of the shelter. Feels deep into the bush and you imagine the rock formation as a focal point for travellers. Hand prints in the art itself are pretty clear. Could have put something a bit more tasteful than the metal cage around it but guess it needs protecting. Bring bug spray!

Rock art in awesome surrounds. The cliff and rocks look amazing with the sun shining on it.

A very big shelter with paintings and fireplace. Its part of big rocky Mount which make perfect scenery for the trail loop.

Easy walk from the car park. The rock art is behind a big steel fence but it doesn't block it from viewing.

Amazing Aboriginal historical artwork, approx 22,000 years old.
Easy walk up, 750m, approx 20mins.
Roads pretty corregated but still doable in a 2wd.

Amazing impressive aboriginal art. A must visit for all. Easily accessible. So pleased to show our children and know it's protected by fencing.

A pleasant loop walk through the bushland stopping off at the Ngamadjidj Shelter not too far from the carpark. The walk itself is quite easy and the artwork on the rocks is interesting.

Such a beautiful loop walk around the rocks, rock paintings are a short easy walk from the car park.

What a grand place and the story that it leaves behind makes you ponder.
