The Alibi (Previously Calibar)

I hosted my engagement party here and the venue was outstanding. From the amazing service, to the great food, and the aesthetic venue. The venue was extremely accommodating and managed to fulfil all of my requests. If you are planning to host a party here, look no further. They will make the night stress free and fun :)

Great place for those meetings, plenty of room, ideal venue for corporate functions during the week, and even better for parties on weekend. The staff are fantastic, welcoming smile and inviting approach. Definitely worth a visit or booking.

Food and Service was excellent. Really good group of people who are great at what they do. Would highly recommend to anyone planning functions or events.

It’s extremely rare these days to get such beautiful, genuine and attentive service. I believe it was one of the owners who made us feel like we were entering his home. Thank you for looking after us. We loved the food, coffee and especially the service. As a previous owner of 3 cafes in London, this place is worth going to if you are in the area. I wish I lived locally as they also have a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Thank you for being the highlight of our day.

We were SOOO impressed with The Alibi! We had our daughters christening there. The food was out of this world and just kept coming and coming. They also accommodated for our vegan, gluten free and nut allergy friends with separate delicious meals. The staff on the night made sure everything was running smoothly as well. The space was perfect, we were able to fit a jumping castle, ball pit, space for people to sit and a dance floor. Will def use this function space again and again!! Thanks Jen and Bill for everything!!!!!

Had a birthday party here on a Friday night. Fabulous venue. Staff amazing-super helpful and responsive. Food was AMAZING! Loved everything about our party at The Alibi!

Good food and friendly service in a spacious venue.

Lovely new place. Great to hold events, especially cocktail parties. The staff were great and very accommodative proving services. The food was delicious!

Honestly could not have found a better venue in the South East to have our engagement party! The staff are beautiful and so friendly and the venue was awesome! Everything was spot on! The food and drinks, especially the cocktails were delicious! Definitely recommend this venue especially for a big group! The best night ever 😘 we are ever so thankful!

Great coffee , great food and great customer service

Went for a friend's engagement party, and it was exceptional. The venue is beautiful for a start, the out door area has plenty of seating and the toilets have a baby change table ( great news for parents! )

The food was incredibly good, and the staff were phenomenal, friendly and accommodating. 2 guests had only recently found out they are GF, and it wasn't in the food list, and the chef was very generous and made them meals instead of the canapes that were going around. It was extremely kind and thoughtful.

Friendly service, great coffee, awesome bacon and egg sandwich on sour dough and reasonable prices. It was clean modern and fantastic. As a truck driver it's one of the best cafes in Melbourne

I liked this place! The service is super friendly and helpful. The cafe style meals are quality. Prices are reasonable. When I went it wasn't busy, so plenty of places to sit.

Calibar have won me back. They have the best people working for them...happy, engaged with customers, always ready to help you.
Excellent selection of food, and the Chef's Lunchtime Specials are particularly good.
And, their new Barista makes a really good coffee.
Calibar (morning coffee, pastry, & newspaper) is part of my daily ritual - mainly because they make me feel so welcome.

Always outstanding food and service

Hands down the best prawn linguine i have ever eaten!! The chef was so nice, we got a bowl of gelati on the house.. i ate here on Tuesday and 3 days later I'm still thinking about it... just amazing 😍
