Working with Fiona has been one of the best decisions I have made while running my own business. I am here to say: if you are a small business owner, the Design your Business Model program is compulsory. Well, obviously it's not but it should be!
I have worked through the business model design for both my businesses, one service based the other product based. Not only has it unearthed important considerations, but it has also given me a concrete sense of direction that is actionable.
It facilitated critical reflection about what services I offer and it allowed me to unlock the possibility that who I was targeting as a client was sort of wrong.
Fiona’s kind and thoughtful way of being in the world is a gift. She doesn’t position herself as an expert of your business, but she generously shares her expertise in small business.
The content is engaging and thought provoking. Some of the questions are now integrated in the way I think, describe and market my business.
The business design model is everything you need, even if you can’t articulate where the gaps are. I will continue to use this each year to filter through my business and make clear decisions about how to keep on growing.

As part of the Get Financially Fit course, Fi helped A Plus Market get familiar and confident with the numbers involved in running our business. As a community organisation, it’s important to us to grow sustainably, and the Get Financially Fit course armed us with a whole toolkit of ways to think about that. The Peach Business Management Get Financially Fit course was fantastic. Fi transformed my relationship with my business' numbers in just a few short sessions of Get Financially Fit.

What had been uninteresting, confusing, and sometimes downright overwhelming became cause for curiosity, mastery and celebration.

This transformation has helped me move from zero (after a break from the business) to a record breaking FY second half. Part of this is down to my refreshed belief about what is possible, and part down to part to my ability to now have a clear view of things.

I’ve always considered myself ok with numbers, but after 5 years in business, I saw Get Financially Fit as a means of learning a few new tricks and cranking things up a notch.

I expected to learn about my businesses finances and how to do things in a better way. What I didn’t expect, was that I would crack our whole business model open and look at it with fresh eyes. Ditching poor money mindsets that I didn’t even know that I’d picked up and really looking at my business for ‘what it could be’ for the first time - not how I ‘thought’ it should be. Sometimes these types of things can feel a little bit jarring for a low-key operator like myself. But what I’m most grateful for is that I’ve been challenged to be better and to do better - in a gentle and thought provoking way.

I’m walking away from this course with much more than a spreadsheet (although the spreadsheet is awesome!) - the way I approach my work, how I see our business and what it’s capable of, feels much more grounded and confident.
