Staff are extremely friendly providing a high standard of customer service & accommodation experience. Highly recommend.

Just back from a wonderful two night staycation at the fantastic Hotel Collins. This hotel is ideally located and surrounded by the best of Melbourne’s shopping, bars & restaurants. We went across the road to see Moulin Rouge and then to the great Teppanyaki restaurant at the bottom of the hotel ~ all so convenient and fun! Our room was a good size, nicely decorated and quiet. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here for long or short stays like ours. The staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for having us, we will definitely be back!

I recently stayed at Hotel Collins in Melbourne and let me tell you, it was a fantastic experience! The location is great - right in the CBD but somehow still quiet - and the staff were incredibly helpful, even though I checked in much later than expected. Plus, my room was immaculately clean and comfortable, making it the perfect spot for a good night's rest. All in all, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in Melbourne - I know I'll definitely be going back!

Booking** recommended this Hotel and it was certainly worthy of all the attention. Great price and top value for the Collins Hotel. The room was enormous with a separate bedroom double bed and robe. Also, there's a large kitchen perfectly fitted out with all the items necessary for cooking and cleaning. Tea and coffee sachets and fresh milk in the mini fridge.
Front desk warm and friendly on arrival and extremely helpful.
Location is behind the Town Hall on Collins street 3 minutes walk from Bourke Street Mall. Trams immediately nearby on Collins, Swanson and Bourke.

Great location. At the door step of theatres, shopping and sports. Has everything you want for a city stay, great for a group or family stay without the high end price tag of the grand hotels.

Great to see a room with a kitchenette, for the first time I was able to cook my dinner and breakfast the way I like it. I was disappointed with the mattress, but I got told they were in the midst of upgrading them. The view from my window had some roofing, but the city above was great to see. Staff were great to talk to and helped when I couldn't find their door. Their doorway is a single opening making it difficult to find as I was looking for something bigger. The doorway sits between the D'orsy and a jewelry shop.

Great locations! It’s easy to go anywhere and even though the parking is 1 block away on Flinders st, the wide pedestrian walkway made it convenience. And it’s reasonably price too at $17. The building itself can be a bit tricky to find since it doesn’t have a huge sign and the lobby is not visible from the road. The room can do with a bit of an update but it’s a comfortable one regardless.

We had 2 rooms Saturday night and wow what a gem. From the friendly staff to the clean well appointed and very comfortable rooms our stay was fantastic. Certainly recommend and will definitely be back. Cheers for a great hotel.

The hotel was such a great location and apartment to base ourselves for a weekend in Melbourne. Our two bedroom apartment was spacious, had a full kitchenette and great views over the cbd. We will stay here again when we next stay in Melbourne!

Location is amazing! Sure, some reviewers are complaining about rumpled carpet and creaky floorboards in the hallways, but its a budget focused hotel in the best part of the CBD! What are you actually expecting.

Bad parts: We had 1 water glass, the bed was a little firm, and the lift is pretty slow (about 45 seconds from G to 8 where we were).

Good parts: Service was lovely, close to EVERYTHING in the CBD, AC was nice and cold, plenty of space (it was an apartment, not a room), and extra bedding which made the mattress pretty comfy.

Seriously, if you are on a budget and dont mind a little rough around the edges, this place is amazing. If you dont want old carpet, maybe spend a little more than $110 a night if you want to be in the middle of the CBD with a whole apartment to yourself.

Great night in the best location in Melbourne. Booking was easy by phone. Nicely decorated, freshly painted large rooms. Great sleep in comfortable bed, good sized bathroom and a sitting area. Rooms equipped with well appointed kitchenette and windows that opened! The hotel doesn't purport to be a 5 star hotel but the price and locations are spot on. An easy walk to Art Gallery, Southbank, Flinders lane restaurants, river area, theatres, shops, bars etc.

Fabulous central city hotel to use as a base for your next stay in Melbourne. Situated in Clyde House next door to the Town Hall and Athenaeum Theatre. Our one bedroom apartment was very clean with crisp linen and a spacious separate casual dining and lounge area . Importantly the windows open to let in plenty of fresh air and it was lovely to be woken by the birds singing in nearby rooftops.

Stayed for 4 nights. Location was a blessing; nearby tram station in the Free Tram Zone, lots of great places to see or have a meal within walking distance. Checking in and out was a breeze.

Really cosy entrance and lobby, but spacious and bright rooms. Everything was clean and worked perfectly. Had a kitchenette with crockery and utensils fully provided for in the room. Even had a dishwasher (did not expect that). There's a small gym (which I was grateful for), and a laundry service (really big plus).

Big thanks especially to Chrisany working the night shifts for making our stay extra comfortable, and for being really helpful and approachable with big smiles for everyone all the time. Had a wonderful experience here, and would be more than happy to patronise again.

Beautiful hotel!! The room was very spacious with an amazing view looking over to the theatre! The beds were extremely comfortable and the service was amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel stay to others and can’t wait to return again!

Absolutely amazing customer service. I accidentally book for the wrong week through Agoda who refused to help me whatsoever. Called the Hotel up and within 2 minutes they were able to give me a credit to use in the future. Cant wait to stay with them soon.

Great place to stay in the heart of Melbourne

I have stayed at Hotel Collins twice over the last few months, and I can’t fault it. It has undergone an amazing renovation and is now 10/10 for location, amenities, facilities and aesthetic. Would happily recommend this to any of my family and friends. Love it!

Fantastic little gem - easily the best budget hotel in Melbourne's CBD with good-sized rooms, comfortable beds, and all you need kitchenette and en suite. Most importantly, it is close to everything in the CBD and has lovely helpful staff who will happily go the extra mile for guests.

You couldn’t ask for a better location. Staff were friendly and helpful and the room was perfectly clean. Would stay again.
