Great alcohol range ☺. lovely little beer garden and, very yummy food. I had garlic prawns with rice and steamed veg 😋 and, dad had roast lamb with roast vegetables (roast potato and mashed potatoes) with mint sauce (on a Saturday.)

Very nice place to go for a pub night of beers. Sometimes is busy and sometimes is quiet but the staff are always friendly and very serviceable. The food is really good too. The place looks off the area as it is set like a country pub but in North Melbourne which is weird but in a good way.

Recommend the hidden version of the food, the steak is better than in Crown casino. Have snooker, and tab

What a pub should be

Love this place! Feels like home. Traditional pub. Affordable and home style meals with friendly staff. Great beer garden outside.

The best burger and chips I've had in a long time. I had the Louisiana fried chicken burger. It had the perfect amount of spice. It was cooked just right. And the chips were all crunchy. It was like eating the best chip in the bowl, except they were all the best chip.

Great staff and fantastic food. Would dock half a point if there was the option to, only because you actually can have too much of a good time.

A little slice of country style paradise just a stones throw away from the CBD.

Do you self a favour and go to this amazing little pub for a good well priced meal and some simple drinks. You might get a bit of cheek if you ask for a craft beer though. "No craft beer no cocktails " it really give the place great character.

A great pub with no airs and graces, just good old fashion Aussie pub service and great tasting pub grub!

Prices are reasonable and the service fast and efficient. Menu changes regularly, but still retains the crowd favorites!

Had the $12 parma with chips+salad here. Decent food with good pricing. They have $8 pint specials on Thursday. You may see several blue-collar folks in hi-vis around the place.
The place has an old "unrenovated since the mid 20th-century" feel to it, complete with the spittoon trough (unused) below the bar counter. TAB joint near the bar, and TVs with the races on. No slot machines.

This is an old school North Melbourne pub. If you don't understand what that means then stay away - the reviews of this joint from people who just don't get it are priceless. Super friendly staff, pubtab in the front bar, wall of remembrance for fallen regulars, a top little beer garden and an outdoor perch at the front where you can sit, smoke and watch the world go by. Reminds me of Collingwood / Abbotsford pubs I frequented in my 20s - 40s before they lost their souls or closed down. Good honest food and cold beer. Loved it.
