I've done 3 terms with Brixton St Pottery. Although you are part of a class, classes are small enough to receive individual attention. Gordon is an amazing artist who has also perfected the art of teaching. He is highly skilled at focussing on the different needs and interests of individuals, and is amazing with beginners. It is a relaxed and fun environment, I just wish the term was longer! Brixton St Pottery gets a big thumbs up from me!

I'm tempted not to post a review because this place is so fantastic the more people that know about it the harder it will be to get a spot for a term! Fantastic tutors and of course Gordon himself is brilliant. Relaxed fun and friendly atmosphere but with highly knowledgeable artists who are willing to share all their secrets. Once you do a class you will never want to give it up.

Highly recommend Gordon's pottery classes. Laid back and friendly environment, small groups, and excellent guidance from Gordon. I did this class last year and learnt so much, and brought so many lovely little pots home. Gordon is a great teacher and is fun and entertaining company. Excellent value too!

I've taken two courses from Gordon and loved them both. Great teaching and heaps of freedom to create in his laid back studio. I can't wait to sign up for a third term. I had no idea pottery would be so enjoyable!

If you’ve ever thought about giving pottery a try then taking the intro class with Gordon and Kibby at Brixton Pottery is 100% the way to go.

As someone coming in with zero experience I found the space was very welcoming and everything was planned ahead and organised. The teaching was really well paced, informative, and easy to follow along for beginners. Great energy!

After some demos, we started out on the wheel straight away. Which, admittedly, does sound intimidating, but was actually heaps of fun (Even if your blob of clay does go flying or topples in on itself) You get loads of time to play and enjoy making something with your own two hands. Embrace the imperfection of it if you can.

This experience was solo participation friendly, but also good for duos and small groups. Be prepared to get messy! The pre-class communication was also greatly appreciated with need-to-know info and finding the location.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how everything will turn out. I highly recommend this class! Don’t hesitate, just book it :)

Gordon is a fantastic teacher...I'd never done pottery before and by the end of the 5 weeks I was surprised at what I'd created!
