Carters Mill Campground

Compact campsite that can cater to 2WD or 4WD with tents, campers & caravans with clean drop toilets. Very muddy after some rain but we had gum boots. Hiking track access in the corner with 7km return trip, allow 2-2.5hrs. Hiked with 2 little ones between 5 & 7. Track was a bit muddy but the views were refreshing with a beautiful view of the waterfall at the end. Area is patrolled & cared for by State Park management & had a visit from the local police to make sure all was well. Take your rubbish home so it stays nice & clean for everyone else.

Nice quiet little campground surrounded by bush. Very short drive on gravel road. Don't be put off by a sign saying camping 7kms, this ground is just after that sign.
Great hike to Plain Creek falls but, don't do what I did, if you haven't downloaded it. If you get to a fire road you've gone too far. There is a hidden sharp left turning up to the falls, there is a sign but if you're looking ahead you won't see it, especially if wearing a brimmed hat.

What a great place to camp. Toilets and free camping. A good base to travel from.

Small campsite, but we had rocked up with only 2 other campers. Fires allowed. Drop toilets.

Clean toilets quite spot for camp and walk to waterfalls was amazing beautiful views

Excellent for free camping when going to the snow or bushwalking. New pit toilets, table, fire pit, normal vehicle access in good weather with care on an unsealed road.

Water can be collected from the river. I love it!

Sick spot, awesome place to just chill out. Summer you can bring the bikes and drive to the top of the mountain or in Winter bring the skis. EPic trail finishes right next to it as well which is handy.

Great campground with updated amenties and heaps of camping area. I think it cost about $13 for the night
