Established in 1879, Victoria Park was the home ground of the Collingwood Football Club until 1999, and its training and administration hub until 2004. It is still regarded as the 'spiritual home' of the club. Today, it is a recreation hub suitable for exercising, dog walking or kicking the footy around.

I love that this nice old stadium is so open to the public most of the time. It's a generally safe, family-friendly and dog-friendly space. I just wish there was better communication about the events that have closure and noise impacts.

Birthplace of the COLLINGWOOD FOOTBALL CLUB. no longer hosting AFL Games however since closing has been opened up to the community and Collingwood VFL team plays there home games here which still attract a decent crowd

Reviewing as the dog park!
I love coming here with the dogs. Completely fenced, poo bags supplied, public toilets and generally pretty easy to find parking on a weekday.
Thank you for making a safe space accessible for our pups

Beautiful park for both humans and their four-legged friends. When the footy isn’t on you can bring your furry friend to this off-leash enclosed oval or just jog around. Even if you don’t have a dog it’s a lovely walk around the park or have a picnic at the bbqs.

Great spot to learn the history of the Collingwood Football Club, have a BBQ or watch a game of pub footy, AFLW or VFL and of course walk the dog.

Timetables for ground availability are updated at https://www.yarracity.vic.gov.au/facilities/victoria-park you'll find it hard to find a clear evening during footy season to walk the pooch with the ground booked by AFL umpires and footy clubs, but in the summer it comes in to its own.

Toilets available on event days, however usually locked otherwise. Closest public bathroom is Bodriggy Brewery on Johnston about 4 minutes walk/jog.

Great community park. I remember being here as a little tacker with my grandparents, brings back memories! Beautifully maintained.

Very different experience to being there in the late 80's lots more family friendly & still the heart beat of the mighty Collingwood footy club
Took the kids to an AFLW game & they just loved it, just as I did watching the pies there as a little tacker with my dad ❤

Amazing off lead dog area when not booked for footy / events.
Secure due to being a footy oval, in case your pup is not quite street smart.
Huge array of dogs attend. Be warned to pick up (as you should!!) after your four legged family members or you might be fined.

Had an appointment in the area,so decided to revisit the sacred park.Just walking under and around the grandstands brought back memories.Looks like it would be a fun place to utilise the bbq area with fellow Collingwood supporters and talk about the past.Floreat Pics.
