The Switch Melbourne Victoria Market

I have been staying here since feb now and love it here.
The location is convenient and everything is in close proximity (public transport, groceries, state library, restaurants, etc)
Plenty of amenities available, the laundry is pretty much free, the cinema room is a great addition and the dedicated study/meeting rooms are always helpful for me.
Even cleaning equipment is available to borrow and that makes life much easier (vaccum, mop, etc)

I do have to admit that as my room is quite close to the garbage chute it sometimes stinks but the rest of the stay has been more than pleasant!

Just arrived at The Switch! Couldn't have asked for a better arrival experience! The staff were putting up the Christmas decorations and asked if I wanted to be apart of it and join in! Super friendly staff and the facilities are amazing and have everything you need. I highly recommend The Switch!

wonderful! I really like this place, rent is pretty affordable compared to other student accomodation. But the fire alarm is pretty sensitive though.

Been here for a month plus and so far it has been a really pleasant experience! :) everyone has been so pleasant and helpful, and the amenities and services has been great! The effort and initiatives the team puts in to host so many events for the residents here definitely exceeded my own expectations, 10/10 would recommend 🫶🏻

I have been staying at this accommodation since March and It has been an absolutely amazing experience so far the reception team is super helpful! The amenities provided are high quality and well maintained and another plus one is that Laundry is free! The studio rooms are quite spacious and the place is nearby to all the necessities the flagstaff and melbourne central stations are just 5 mins walk and woolies is just right down the street. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for booking an accommodation.

The accommodation is brand new, and while the air conditioning and internet originally had some problems, they have since been fixed and are again operating as they should. The internet's rapid download speed makes it possible to download data and videos quickly.

The most pleasant surprise has been the switch's activities. In the first week of moving in, they arranged for a lecturer to explain key aspects of Australian life such as finding a job, planning for the future, and more. This is very important for students who have just arrived in Australia.
Furthermore, there were events with free snacks, popcorn, fairy floss, and drinks. The dance class and self-defense course were unexpectedly good. The former made it possible for me to enjoy dance, and the latter gave me the skills I needed to protect myself from harm. It's amazing that these worthwhile activities are free and really teach us something! The approaching welcome party next week is something I am looking forwards to.

I have lived here for almost one year. The location is perfect, and there are the free fit classes twice a week, also a lot of activities (paintball, fishing, etc) for every month. It’s a really lovely and thrilling community to live.

The place is decent and accomodated with enough basic stuffs in the room. Laundry is basically free so that’s really nice. There’re events mostly every month, which can be quite fun. It’s quite new compared to other student accomodations I figure so there are still a bit problems here and there. The wifi is quite unstable sometimes and one of the elevators sometimes doesn’t work. But the staffs are really nice and ready to give supports when needed, which I really appreciate.

Everyone here is very helpful and welcoming. I've stayed in many student accomofation but the facilities here are top notch for the price, which includes 3 times a week of free laundry and drying. Everything is so clean and I am very happy with my selection to stay here

After staying here for 4 months, overall it has been a great experience. Moreover, there are many fascinating events here. I love the AFL in MCG so much! Please arrange more of this kind of activities for us!

Best gym facilities on site in comparison to other student accomodations, the free laundry and dryer combo is also a plus. Staff has always listened to my complaints and feedback
e.g. I asked for more gym equipment and a month later it came.

The only minor issue is the communal kitchen being unclean at peak hours, usually after lunch or dinner. I try to get my cooking done in the morning while its still clean.

It’s nice! The admin is really nice, anytime you need help they are here. And the room is big and comfortable. It’s really a enjoyable living experience

I have lived here for over 6 months now and I have really enjoyed my time here. The common areas are better than most other student apartments, as well as the media room and free laundry. Even though the internet is occasionally unstable, overall I'm very satisfied.

Staff ware very nice and friendly. The air con was not working at the beginning but they tried their best to fix it asap. The environment is also very comfortable, I believe they have people clean the common area everyday. Gym facilities are very new and high tech.

Stayed with them for 6 months now, it’s been a great experience :) with helpful receptionists and having free laundry for a student accommodation overall adds to the great experience

Only downside - too many fire alarms going off! (And garbage chute smells around the corridors every now and then)
