Amazing fish of the day!

We finally got around to trying Brick Lane Market. We had the Fish of the Day and the Salt and Pepper Calamari.

The Fish of the Day was $40 as it was very very good. It's the type of dish you'd expect from a high end restaurant. Everything was well balanced from the pesto sauce to the fish to the cabbage side. We mopped up everything.

The calamari was good too but just didn't compare to the fish.

We spotted some other dishes we want to try on another visit but as this restaurant is at a slightly higher price point than our regular ones, we will save them for a special occasion.

Highly recommended!

If you get a chance to try the limited edition beers, get them! The stouts were really smooth, and the taster set was worth it. We had the lobster roll, pumpkin hummus and a salad just to balance the liquid brunch. 10/10 would return. Jay was really helpful in introducing the menu and what’s available.

We did the Melbourne Food & Wine Special on Saturday. Beer paired with food and explained in detail as served was a fantastic experience and way beyond expectation. We just loved combination of Japanese flavours with the quality we expect at Brick Lane Market. Please do it again soon!!

Amazing new bar with a terrace upstairs. Very sleek interior decors and layouts as well as the food presentation.

We were just here for some snacks, but cannot wait to come back to try more they have to offer.

Brick Lane Market opened Upstairs late last year across from the QV Market. They have 36 beer taps (they are our second largest Independent Victorian Brewer), a 120-seat dining room, an open kitchen, a raw/oyster bar, private dining room, and a huge sunny terrace overlooking the market.

The fitout is great, loads of tables but not crammed in - plus the ability to cater for big groups on one table. It has a casual pub vibe with a menu that celebrates the best of Victorian producers, plus daily specials.

We went on Sunday afternoon where you can indulge in $2.50 oysters 😳😳😳 and $9 pints. Seriously where else can you eat your body weight in market-fresh oysters for TWO DOLLARS FIFTY EACH???
We have also been on a Tuesday evening for their 'Sea-To-Plate' night and a delicious seafood-driven main course curated by Chef Ankit Padmani and his team.
Plus they also have a daily Happy Hour from 4-6:30 pm with $9 pints, $9 wines and $15 cocktail of the week.

This is such a great addition to the market area. The food is AMAZING and we loved the vibe of the venue plus awesome beers and perfect cocktails. This is definitely one that will be on high rotation.

Firstly I was a little shocked when I walked upstairs, I thought it was going to be more like a bar but it is a very nicely decorated restaurant. They have done an amazing fit out. The service was amazing the staff gave us a few free tasters which was a lovely touch. We ordered the fried chicken to share and it was sooo good. And very good size enough for 3 of us. Then we all had a burger each which was cooked on coals and was very tasty. A tad over cooked but didn’t matter was lovely. I would be back again

An excellently refurbished pub right next door to the Queen Vic Markets.
Beer is excellent, food is delicious and staff brilliant.

Came on Saturday during the hottest 100 countdown. Nice balcony area looking over the market. Nice restaurant space upstairs also if you want to eat and drink inside. Bar area also on street level. They had a burger and bucket of beers special which was epic! Veggie and Beef burgers were amazing! Decent wine list, I enjoyed the wine the staff member suggested. Please do the burger and bucket special again please ;) very friendly service!

Absolutely great new venue for a meal in the upstairs space.

Super friendly and attentive staff and delicious food. The menu is big, focusing on local ingredients and has something for everyone.

Expansive drinks menu too and the dining room is really nice with views over the market.

We had a work function here. Ideal spot for those in the city, the rooftop overlooks Queen Vic Market. Great vibe when the suns out, heaps of space inside and out. Brand new upstairs so the fit out is modern . Gender neutral toilets that have bright red lighting. I was impressed, great selection of food, beers & wine.

Great place for beers. Went here while waiting for a mate, ended up spending half the day drinking there.

Bartenders were great, service was awesome. Atmosphere was mint.

Charming heritage environment with a modern design flair, features dedicated brewery (ground floor), dining (second level) and outdoor terrace options. 12 rotating varieties of fresh tap beer complimented by a wide range of canned beer, wine and gourmet food. I enjoyed talking to knowledgeable bar staff about the brewing process and recent venue developments.

But the surprise was the tasty sandwiches. Delicious, would definitely go back.

Fabulous place for a summer hangout. Great food. Loved the oysters and croquettes. Fried chicken may give the Korean joints nearby a tough competition. The menu complements the beers beautifully.

Landmark building and location at QVM. Old Mercat Cross Hotel. Most authentic building features remain. This was my 1st visit since the old place closed and I give thumbs up again. I will visit again soon. Food and service are very good. Memories linger and add to the feel.

Excellent refit of an older market hotel. In the best location next to market and parking. New upstairs restaurant opened yesterday to much applause! Service , food and ambience 100%! Congrats to the Owners! We’ll be back!!

Brick Lane Brewing at The Market is a true gem

The happy hour with $7 schooners is a fantastic deal, making it an affordable and enjoyable experience. The staff is not only friendly but also knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to your visit.

The abundance of comfy seating and the inviting atmosphere make it a perfect spot to unwind. Plus, the diverse selection of takeaway products allows you to bring a piece of the experience home.
