Offered gluten feee options straight away, servers had good knowledge of gluten free ingredients and were coeliac aware. There was seperate and extensive menu which is great, despite slight price increase. Other dishes were large portion size and delicious. Helpful servers, would definitely recommend!

The food was delicious - I ordered seafood in satay sauce and fried rice. The staff were very pleasant.

As a coeliac I was so impressed by the huge range of gluten free food! A whole menu dedicated. Thank you! I was able to try for the first time prawn toast it was delicious. Also had gluten free spring rolls and dumplings!! We enjoyed it that much we came back twice in one night!

Had a 10/10 experience here! 100% would come again and definitely recommended!

The duck was succulent and tender. Cooked to perfection.
The soup was enormous! The broth, I could've had alone it was so tasty!
Everything else was fresh and full of flavor.
(Apologies for the terrible pics! As soon as the food arrived we forgot to take pics and demolished it all!).

For someone with coeliac, chinese food is something i’d never thought i’d be able to eat again but thanks to ROBOMAO, my dreams have come true! obviously it wouldn’t be as amazing to someone who can eat chinese whenever, but robomao do such an amazing job with their gluten free meals and preparation that eating there is a stress free experience. I would give 10 stars if i could. i only wish they had gluten free custard buns haha!

Tasty food, fast service, only thing is the tables are very tight. But I guess it’s just how restaurants in the city works.

Gliten free menu available here. The staff was really friendly, capable of making orders quickly and very concerned about me having a good time. I have to say that it wasn't the tastiest gf asian but, I really appreciate the attempt and the consideration for celiacs. The normal dishes were looking very tasty and everyone who left their seats had nothing or almost in their dishes.

The only place I know in Melbourne that makes Gluten free dumplings, and they are great. Highly recommend

Yummy and authentic. Hunan cuisine is famous for its spicy, but different type of spicy from Sichuan cuisine. Sichuan food has lots of pepper in it, whereas Hunan cuisine is just spicy. Mao place is the most authentic Hunan cuisine in Australia I've ever tried.

Robo Mao is a amazing place if you are looking for authentic chinese cuisine. All round delicious food.

I had a fantastic experience! Their menu accommodated well for coeliac and vegetarians. They accommodated for all 20 of us which is often difficult these days. We did need to physically get up to find the staff request water, wine glasses and water for the table. But once we got their attention they were lovely!

The gluten-free dumplings didn’t make me miss the gluten ones. In fact the vegetables dumplings were amazing! This is now my new joint for dumplings. Also love their menu design, very simple and right on the money!

Such a great, cosy place to have a meal with friends. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive. The food from both the normal and Gluten Free menu was very quick to come out and absolutely delicious, the GF Mongolian beef was so tender and packed full of flavour. Our group had such a nice time and will definitely be back again.
