Incredible!! The best fabric store in Melbourne with high quality and designer fabrics it’s hard to go anywhere else now. Prices are on the mid-high range but it’s easily worth it. Many Italian made fabrics but plenty of others from around the globe as well. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful too.

I cannot express how grateful I am for the awesome service received by Tessuti. I ordered some elastic online that I needed for a group sewing bee, their Sydney shop dispatched it and it arrived the next day. The elastic is perfect, exactly what I needed. I went in to Tessuti Fabrics last week - a woman on a mission. I’d bought a beautiful dress for a special occasion but did not like the buttons. I’d bought crystal buttons online but as soon as I’d sewed them on I could see that they’d damage the sil satin fabric ( too heavy).
Resulting staff are amazing.
Quickly I was shown a range of buttons that would work in terms of size weight and style( it’s a 1940s inspired frock).
To my surprise I chose some Pearl buttons very inexpensive and worked very well with the black silk satin and enhanced the vintage look.
There was a great range even within my narrow perimeters.
The staff here are so knowledgeable inspiring creatives who go above and beyond whether you are buying meters of Italian fabric or a few buttons.
I’m just incredibly grateful.

I purchased a duck egg coloured silk fabric for my wedding tie, and I love it!

I used to buy fabrics from Italy for my projects however they'll be my new points of reference.

The lady in store was very friendly and patient with me every time.

Went here to match an impossible teal shade of bridesmaid dresses to fabric for a tie (Tania Oslen's teal shade). Hoorah, we found such a close match in teal so happy, even though was lining material not satin, our dress maker is confident that they can make it work. The staff were lovely and helpful too. If you are looking for pure silk, or pure cotton even high quality linen, this is the place.service fantastic, large variety of colors and quality in linens. They have treads and buttons for good price and large variety. Loved the place ,found with no problem and will be back. Who is complaining about price for cashmere, in Tesutti, has to remember that authentic cashmere nobody sells for banana prices. Tessuti is a store that I trust , and know that their prices are very fair considering the quality they offer.

I would recommend Tessuti Fabrics because of the quality fabric and good customer service. The swatch service is excellent and only costs $1. The staff are helpful and polite. Parcels arrive packaged securely and attractively. The shop space in Melbourne is very pleasant to browse in if you get the chance.

My Mum and I made a trip to Tessuti today to source fabric and we were helped by the wonderful Anna. She absolutely made our day with such knowledge, expertise, kindness and thoroughness. Could not recommend this store and Anna more!!!!
