🔥💯

What amazing food this place serves! I don't know why I hadn't ordered from this place earlier, despite it being so close to my place. But as they say, better late than never. Thos place offeted me the best of what I had ordered, and the satisfaction I achieved was beyond anything that I could've imagined.

🐏😻

I ordered a Biryani ($16.90) with Lamb (+ $3.90) along with 2 pieces of Vegetable Samosas (Potatoes and green peas tossed with spices, rolled in triangular pastries and deep fried, ($7.80). To be honest, I was expecting the same generic biryani and samosas. My expectations got flipped when I received my food.

The moment I opened the box I knew that this wasn't like anything else. The fragrance of biryani was marvellous. The biryani was exceptionally tasty. The rice was perfect, the lamb pieces were big, perfectly cooked and in good numbers. The raita was just roght enough and elevated the dish. This was a biryani one expects, and something I'd be willing to pay for.

The samosas were hands down some of the best I've had in Melbourne so far, far better than what Dropout Chaiwala or any other place offers. The samosas were big, the biggest I've come across in Melbourne so far, and they were packed with delicious fillings, reminding me of my home. With the tamarind chutney, it was a delight to have those. That's how samosas should be made.

I'd like to visit this place in person and check-out their other dishes. If this is their standard, I couldn't be happier😃. Great food, and you really get your money's worth, made the whole culinary experience so much more satisfying. Highly recommended!

Dishes ordered:

1. Lamb Biryani (1 plate)- $19.90
2. Vegetable Samosas (2 pieces) - $7.80

Simply excellent! Would have to be one of the best curry houses in town - and certainly my favourite. The food is excellent, the service exceptional and the atmosphere will have you coming back for more. You simply must try it at least once!
Awesome!

My preferred Indian restaurant in Melbourne CBD with all the authentic & yummy Indian dishes at all times whenever we’re here.

I know 5 stars can be considered a lot but this place deserves it. First off, I grew up eating home-cooked Indian food (from family friends) and going to a place called little India back in the states growing up. I have so long yearned for flavorful Indian food after many good Indian food places unfortunately closed around my area back home. Luckily, this place fulfilled my cravings! The currys were very delicious and spicy - had enough heat but did not cover up the complex layers of spices. My only one critique was the chicken tanadori appetizer was a little dry but again that seasoning! Divine! Service was great and attentive. I really liked how they waited to bring out your main course until you were done with your appetizer. Nice crisp beer too! Would definitely come here again next time I am in Melbourne.

Food was good but what made it 5* was the service. Attentive hosts (young girl and other male FOH staff) who knew exactly what we wanted.
Having said that, I do feel there are a lot of fake reviews on here from people who just rate it 5*, have only a handful of reviews and whose accounts are private.

Went there when visiting from interstate for the F1.
I had the Chicken curry special with prawn and egg. This was one of the best curries I have ever had worldwide, so tasty and fresh. Then add the keema naan and it was perfect.
Really friendly and quick service on such a busy weekend.
Highly recommended

Atmosphere was great. First class service, with very friendly waiter/waitress. Food was fantastic! We were delighted by the garlic naan, lamb briyani and goat curry. Generous portion. Food are on the pricier side, but absolutely will visit again.

I asked for spicy chicken Vindaloo, and I got what I was craving for. Even the front staff gave some of their special chilli pickle, and it was really hot and good.

We came here for my cousin's 40th lunch and we were not disappointed. Everyone in our group loved their meal and the naan and lassis were excellent. A good range of alcoholic drinks be as well. Definitely recommend this if you're in Melbourne.

Great Indian restaurant! The staff are very friendly and the foods are delicious. We ordered Chicken briyani, garlic naan, dhal, and mango chicken curry. The mango curry is my favourite. The place is cosy and lively.
If you are craving for Indian foods and you happen to be in the CBD, you should visit this restaurant

Really delicious food, great ambience, all the tables are covered by Nepalese dhaka which brings back memories of my home country, the beautiful painting of the living goddess, really enjoyed everything there.

Hidden in the quaint basement setting. The ambience of the place can pick up a little but don't let that fool you.

Tandoori fish on a sizzling hot plate was a delight. Goat curry and Paneer makhni were absolutely on point. Goat curry with a finger lickin sauce and Panner makhni that just melted in your mouth.

The breads were so fresh. I have had naan breads a lot, but this was fresh and soft.

Yes it's slightly pricey, but can you put a price on good food. May be I just got CURRIED away!

Really good food and chicken biryani. Food is deliciously cooked to suit your liking and spice preference perfectly. Kailash who runs the place is really courteous and humble.
We were treated to a special Rum-Whiskey which is imported from Nepal. Must try it, haven't had anything smoother like it.

Had a team lunch with 4 colleagues and we tried the banquet option so we could share. We were amazed by the speed of service, taste of the food, portions and customer service. This lunch exceeded our expectations and we are experienced indian food lovers who all agreed it was great value and quality. Highly recommended!

We go to a lot of Indian places, it’s my partners favorite cuisine. By far this place has the most outstanding quality of ingredients! Hubby bases all of his experiences on the Vindaloo curry, and this was the best he has eaten in Australia. I loved the vegetarian choices and everything was prepared with love. The ambience was just chill, and if you have a spare couple of hours and want to enjoy Indian food in a nice lovely place go here. You curry lovers out there, don’t miss this spot on your trip to Melbourne!

Beautiful restaurant right in the heart of the city, good access via public transport or if you're driving in. Can't speak highly enough of the food at Curry Vault. We've never left unsatisfied and have basically become regulars! Excellent cuisine paired with even better service. Highly recommended.
