Readings Emporium

I came across this charming bookstore a while ago, but made a mental note today to take some photos.

It’s really sweet and quiet inside, so you can find a nook to read a chapter or two. Great range of books and there are often books across a range of topics on sale.

I love the personal hand written summary or a specific books it’s reminds me of the staff picks back in the blockbuster days.

Lots of seating on offer through the store. It’s hard not to pick something extra up while you’re in line waiting to pay for your item.

A must visit.

Love this bookstore! Happened to discover it when we were exploring the shopping centre. Really good variety of books; nicely categorised. Collections include Japanese authors, young adult, newest fiction and non-fiction, self-help, philosophy and autobiographies. Definitely worth a visit.

I love the Readings bookstores in Melbourne and having read that they've opened a new store in the CBD a few years ago, it was one of the first places I visited when I came down recently. It's a beautiful store with an amazingly extensive selection of books. Being an avid reader and traveller, when I came across the travel section I was in travel book heaven and the dedicated books on Melbourne display was genius. If you need some respite from all the shopping and the busyness of the city then this bookstore is an ideal sanctuary to slow down and grab your favourite book/s!

Fall in love with the bookstore and made me revisit Melbourne. I am jelly how people in Melbourne can have this beautiful place!!

A lovely bookshop hidden in the mall. I enjoyed reading all the little notes written by the team that are displayed with the books together. They really helped me browsing through different categories.

Really impressed by the staff here didn't get their name. But they were able to find a very specific book that I have been looking for, for over a year.... Just by my vague description. Really knowledgeable and understanding too.

Readings Emporium is my go to bookstore, the staff are knowledgeable and 9 times out of 10 they have the novel i'm looking for. Thank to the staff member who recommended The Great Reclamation by Rachel Heng, Sorry i didn't get your name, next time I'm in Melbourne I well be be asking for more of your recommendations, it was really a good novel as promised.

readings is now open in a fancy new store within Melbourne emporium. Big range of high-quality books of all descriptions. Lots of seating to linger and browse your potential purchases.
Helpful staff and a very well set out shelves.
People with mobility issues will be very comfortable here as it's a modern store with even floors and ready access to lifts and escalators.

One of my fave inner city book stores. Good spots to sit and browse their books, also like the gifting knick-knacks they stock

I love Readings in the UK so this was a pleasant find! This is a must-visit for any book lover. Readings always has a great vibe. There is a large range of books and the way they display their books makes you want to pick one up and read it. Many books have a nice little blurb telling you why you should read it. There's also a good range of other products, like home-ware, bookmarks, cards, etc.

I met the emperor of the emporium. He was quite nice, I wasn't sure if it was a facade so we didn't make it to second base.

Perfect ambience with lots of newly published book. Very up to date with its store layout and book categories. Definitely coming back from time to time.

Had the most beautiful service from Lucy and Alex today. They went above and beyond to help me out and are genuinely the kindest people I’ve ever met!! My partner and I will always remember you both for getting our favourite chef to sign our cookbook!

Warm nest for book lovers in the centre of Melbourne

Best science section in Melbourne. Separated into several categories other than just psychology and science. The standard science section also isn’t full of just psychology books which means you can actually find material on other areas. Very nice and comfy store with good ambience.

The place has got this amazing staff by name Tracy. Tracy helped me in finding the book and amazing work in terms of the gift wrap. She was very patient and very helpful in finding me the right book as well as dairy as a Christmas gift.
She actually made my day. I would definitely recommend to visit this store and definitely shop through Tracey. I would give her an NPS score of 10.

It's a beautifully fitted out shop- well worth the visit for that alone. It has a great range of books too.
