Ludlow Bar & Dining Room

I asked for a glass of red which gave the waitress a shock apparently, I mean fair enough I’m a rough looking guy. The service was marvelous though, the service staff had exceptional knowledge of the food and took their time explaining what was in various sauces and even what lime sugar was. The view of the city from my table was terrific as was the overall atmosphere. Great place to people watch, very varied clientele.

Didn’t know what to expect from this spot given the tourist trap location but it was surprisingly good. The service was a bit spotty but the drink selection is pretty good and the food was great. I especially liked the crab pasta and the lamb skewers.

Bar / restaurant located along the strip of touristy places next to the river at Southbank. Stopped in for a quick drink only, so can’t comment on the food however the location is great and service was fine. Will be back for dinner to check out the full experience.

We walked from Melbourne Exhibition and convention centre all along the Yarra looking for a Restaurant to have dinner and came across Ludlow and were so pleased to have chosen this restaurant. There was a good vibe with cool music, great customer service and great food. We had the prawn skewer and bread for entree and then Swordfish, Beef Rib, and Crab Linguine for mains. All the food we ordered was yummy and our Waitress Rachel was extremely polite, friendly and knowledgeable on helping us select our food with a fantastic smile. Keep up the good work Ludlow.

Came having a lunch with my friends. Every staffs are very friendly and kindness service. Great food, very tastiy and good value.👌👌

I had my 50th Birthday party here, it was a rainy and cold night, the place was very conforable with ample heating. Cathernie was easy to deal with. Every one enjoyed, service and the food was fabulous. Thank you Ludlow for making the day memorable.

Very impressed with New Years Eve set menu dinner. Didn’t have high expectations for food or service given it was NYE but so surprised and impressed by quality and quantity of food. Was served by Olga who went the extra mile for us. Fantastic service, thank you!

This has to be the most delicious meal I've had in a long time. My companions were also very happy with their meals. Only improvement would be additional staff as we waited a while to be seated and then to order and then to pay.

I've also been here for cocktails prior to a show. I love the atmosphere here. It's luxe yet chill, and not noisy or boisterous like nearby restaurants on Southbank.

For the first time ever in my life forgot to pay the bill and just walked out of the resturant, right at the exit it struck us we had not paid for the food. So had to rush back in.

Thankfully the bartendend was friendly and nice to us and appreciated that we came back on our own to pay for it.

Will never forget this hilarious moment. Sorry tho (was lost in the conversation) !!

Thoroughly enjoyed our work Christmas event here. One of the bartenders introduced me to a new drink, which is now a favourite of mine at home.

Deffo a little spenny but had one of the best strawberry daquiris there! The food was so nice, please try the hummus and the staff were very helpful when ordering !

We had a 3 course meal and everything tasted amazing! Staff is very attentive. Would definitely come again.

We chose Ludlow's for Friday afternoon drinks and early dinner overlooking the Yarra based on good reviews. Service was excellent. Started with the zucchini flatbread which was fresh & full of favour, followed by the pressed lamb shoulder & calamari. The lamb was melt in mouth and so delicious - highly recommend

Enjoyed my time here! Great vibe, pretty chilled, very good tunes, good food! Appreciate when venues have napkins on the tables these days, so many places don't anymore, happy they have here, very important specially when eating a burger lol Not ideal if you're in a rush, as it gets busy so service can take time, which is normal for busy places. But totally a place if you want to enjoy your time in a beautiful happy place with nice view to drink, eat, hang out, chill! The DJs were about to start, look like great place to enjoy the night & dance! Will definitely come back! :)

Great surroundings and menu. Worth having Friday drinks or Saturday breakfast with the family.
Customer service is lovely with plenty of staff around to assist.

Shared a valentines day meal with my partner this year at Ludlow and had the most incredible steak. Appetisers were delicious as was the rabbit tagiatelle special. It was actually very good value and nice atmosphere. We would definitely come again.
