Soho Restaurant and Bar

We were in Melbourne on business and were looking for a great restaurant to have dinner and a few drinks at. Well, we hit the jackpot here, we ate a few dishes for entrees then had steak for dinner.
Everything was perfect, the food, the atmosphere, the drinks and if I could give 7 stars for the staff involvement and interactions I would.
It was the perfect night out.

Absolutely loved Soho! Our waitress was so attentive and funny. She gave us some great recommendations and we loved all the food! We had some entree’s some chef specials for mains and dessert and for the quality of the food and drinks the price is pretty damn good. We will definitely be back!

Staff here are so kind and lovely! Drinks were so delicious and food was prepared fresh. The pizza crust is so fluffy! Hoping to come back for a Bottomless brunch session.

We went for some snacks and drinks last night and while the food was awesome (love the dough you use, it is perfect!!!) the staff are even better. So much so that I had to talk to the manager and tell him just how wonderfull they were, Tiffany in particular. She is gorgeous inside out and made our visit extra special, ensuring that we are happy all the time! We really enjoyed our visit and highly recommend this place to everyone! Thank you Tiffany, you are a star!!! 💜

Came here while on holiday. Nice location by the river. I ordered the Pollo with peperonata it tasted perfect with my beer.

Soho is one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been to near the CBD. Tim was very lovely, accommodating and made sure we were very well looked after.
The gnocchi was absolutely stunning and the Strawberry Smash was a major hit. I'll definitely be returning very soon!

Truly remarkable and friendly service. My partner and I came at prime time dinner time on a Saturday night with no booking. We were told we could hang by the bar which was standing only. It was mentioned that if something came up they would let us know and eventually something worked out for us within the next 15-20 minutes which was lovely. Communication and service between staff was fantastic, thank you!

Lovely restaurant and bar with good food and drinks! So lively with great music playing. I had the best rosé here, I have to come back for more!

Wow, just WOW. The food was delicious, the service efficient, helpful, attentive and friendly.

The atmosphere was relaxed, but at the same time still a classy place that you could have dinner or drinks with friends or even take your clients to for a meal.

It was a hot day so at one point they turned on these spray mist jets to cool things down.

Did I mention the great views of the Yarra River. This place had it all.

Just a note for the shorties like me. The seating is bar leaner style with barstools.

I was thoroughly impressed by Soho Bar and Restaurant. I would highly recommend it and would definitely go again myself.

Amazing Italian food in a beautiful atmosphere by the Yarra River. Great experience! They have a wonderful menu with great options. The pizzas were superb, Cocktails were also amazing and my favourite was the squid ink linguini with lemon, prawn bisque, chilli, garlic and katsuobushi flakes. See the photos. Great place. Generously sized and well made cocktails. Good Italian food. Service is great, staff treats you nicely and with care.
Overall the place is clean, the atmosphere is good, chairs might feel a bit uncomfortable, but it is not a big issue.

Love the cocktails, atmosphere is great. Even though music is a bit loud still easy to chat. Food was good love the pizza

Absolutely love Soho! My partner and I come here for dinner occasionally, and I must say the pizza and bruchetta is always on point. Their wine and espresso martini was absolutely amazing. 100% recommending to my friends and will be booking for future occasions. Price is fair and reasonable.

Had a lovely meal of medium rare duck breast which was delicious. Cooked to perfection on a bed of mash. Service was great and atmosphere good for a Monday night.

Lovely Italian restaurant with gluten free options including pasta. Ragu was amazing with very generous portion size. My only surprise is that they don’t do coffee! So no, after meal pick me up or Italian coffee blend. I understand maybe not having a big, commercial machine, but even a drip coffee or something easy for any bar staff to operate?

Great little place to sit and have a drink or some food.

We had the 2 course lunch special, for $45 with a included soft drink.Pork belly and burrata entrees were delicious, and the lasagne main was so cheesey and saucy. The pizza was nice for what it was, could have used a little more flavour, but we were so full we could barely move after.

Cocktails were amazing, Apple Martini was the absolute best, and the lychee cocktail was bursting with flavour.

Staff were lovely and super helpful. Can fault anything!

I found Soho when I was in a rush, looking for Dirk. He called me saying it was an emergency and he was stuck somewhere along Southbank. He sounded like he was partially underwater. I was sprinting along the river in a panic when I realised I was a little hungry, which was when I looked across and saw Soho. I wasn’t expecting much but boy oh boy was I surprised by the pizza. As soon as it was placed in front of me I knew I was in for a real treat. The dough was the standout, light, fluffy, slightly chewy crust with a touch of crisp on the crust bubbles. I would have to say this was actually one of the best pizzas I’ve had. Better than SPQR. For these reasons I have chosen to assign the maximum star rating, which is 5.

Also Dirk had fallen into the river and needed to be resuscitated but he’s fine now.
