Truefitt & Hill Melbourne

Absolutely love Truefitt & Hill for my partner and son in-law. I’ve now purchased a few packages for them and they have enjoyed the services. They especially enjoy a little nip of whiskey before they get started 😉

The barber upstairs is a great gift idea for Father’s Day or a birthday. It’s nice to be able to spoil and pamper them. They have many different packages to suit all budgets.
The service is 5 ⭐ the booking process is easy and the product range is vast. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable.

I'm not in need of a barber but if I was I would certainly come to Truefitt and Hill. Like stepping into another world, a more genteel world full of luxury products, great customer service, unique goods and an old fashioned "vibe". Like an old English gentlemen's club, you know what I mean. So I can't attest to the shave but I can attest to the great feeling I had looking around inside.

Exceptional service, products and outcome. A must try for any man who is serious about his hair. Beautiful traditional fit out with a service to match. The attention to detail is reflected in all aspects of the business which explains how and why they are the worlds most oldest barber. Ask for Aiden, the man can work a blade! Dee is highly knowledgable on the entire product range. The products are quality and potent. The best and most true Barber in Melbourne.

A Melbourne gem. Absolutely the best place to get a haircut in Melbourne, and Peter is (a) a terrific bloke and (b) a brilliant barber. More expensive than your average barber shop, but worth every cent, down to the superb range of whiskeys on offer. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Beautiful men’s barber shop with amazing attentive service. Stunning decor with quintessential British charm. Plenty of grooming and associated products which are of EXTREMELY high quality, truly second to none.

I came here with my brothers and dad for my 21st and Peter was so accomodating and professional! The experience was fantastic, the coffee was amazing and the Royal Haircut and Straight Razor Shave was even better! They had an extensive whiskey selection and James who had only started a few weeks earlier was very confident and professional as well. I would definitely recommend going!

I visited here recently and was introduced to the world of luxury shaving products by Peter. Peter was so friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the art of shaving. He helped find the razor that was right for me and walked me through all of the products. The samples he gave me of the pre shave oil, shaving cream, after shave balm and cologne were all to die for and gave me the ultimate shave. I highly recommend this place if you like to spoil yourself or the shavers in your life. 10/10 Peter, thank you

Exceptional. I've had my beard shaped and shaved here several times now, having been seen by both Peter and Aidan, and can highly recommend both of these excellent barbers. They take the time to understand what you are wanting, and offer a level of service unparalleled elsewhere. After having my sideburns cut unevenly at another barbershop, Peter took great care in fixing them up for me, and I couldn't be happier. If you are thinking of booking, do yourself a favour and just do it!

Not only do Truefitt and Hill offer an exceptional quality barbershop, but also provide outstanding advice and service in the store downstairs. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the lady who has served us several times on our visits, but she has always made us feel welcome and has offered advice which has demonstrated a deep knowledge of the product range of these historic and exemplary barbershops.

If you want one of the best barber shop experiences, this is the place. Aiden was my Barber and he was amazing. Very good customer service as well.

My husband and son went for my son’s 19th birthday. That can’t stop talking about it! What a fun and amazing experience.

Haven't had a haircut in 5 years. Aiden was absolutely incredible. If only all barbers were as talented as him. This place is fantastic, atmosphere and style, but Aiden was really the icing on the cake. Will come back for him specifically. (Pricey, but for the treatment and experience, 100% worth it).

Well just found my new barber shop thanks to James who was so helpful and polite explaining the history and where I can have a haircut and shave he showed my partner and I the barber area and explained everything about this wonderful place to us with customers coming in he was so polite to all in the shop I purchased a Cologne Sandalwood from James. A little shop of treasures. I stumbled across this when having a coffee across the road. BTW grab a crepe and coffee while you think about which umbrella to buy. They have so many great presents for those that appreciate quality and have everything.

Treated myself for my birthday and had a straight shave, head and face. Very relaxing place, offer of a drink upon arrival. Peter, the master barber's fantastic. Unhurried with attention to detail and the use of some fine products. Peter is a fine craftsman and I'd recommend you spend a little time being pampered here,, you won't regret it.

Always get excellent service and cut at Truefitt & Hill. Peter is a pro and does one of the best skin fades in town. Hair and shaving products are also great. Highly recommend!

Had always wanted a straight razor shave, and needed a bit of a beard trim as well. Booked in on a whim and was absolutely blown away by the service. Peter is a master of his craft and very good to chat to, had a very relaxing experience and walked away feeling fantastic. Will definitely return.
