What an excellent dining experience! From the moment we entered, we were greeted by warmly by the staff who promptly seated us despite not having made a reservation.
The food was very flavourful and of a very high standard albeit being a smaller portion size when compared to other Melbourne restaurants. The quality of the food that we ate more than made up for this!
We especially enjoyed the Spicy Margarita, so much so that we ordered another round! Finishing off with a mango custard.
The staff was very friendly and made very good suggestions on how to eat the Prawn Broken Rice dish.
Some artwork on the walls would elevate the atmosphere to another level.
All in all, a very enjoyable night out!

We had a fantastic dinner; the food was absolutely amazing, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavors.

We opted for the set menu. The baguette had a delightful crust and was surprisingly delicious when paired with the spread. The creaminess of the tofu and the aroma of the black garlic relish were a perfect match for the baguette. The beef carpaccio offered a complex flavor profile with its dressing, the level of spiciness was just right, and the crunchiness from the deep-fried rice added an extra layer of texture to the dish. The charcoal chicken was both juicy and tender, and the burnt chili dressing, with a hint of sweetness, was simply divine. Arguably, this was the best chicken I've had in a long time. The other dishes on the set menu were also very enjoyable, and the mango custard served as a perfect finish to the dinner.

The two cocktails were nice and refreshing. One noteworthy point is that, since most restaurants serve house-made sparkling water, this was the first time that the sparkling water had such effervescence, and the bubbles lingered for an extended period.

The service was attentive. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with the dinner and will definitely return for another visit.

We dropped by late on Sunday for a cocktail and a snack and were greeted by super friendly staff.
We were served quickly and each dish was explained thoroughly when we told the waiters what we wanted.
The highlight for me was the scotch quail eggs. Perfect gooey insides with a crispy and crunchy and salty outside. The flat bread as a snack to go with our wines was tasty and salty - just what we wanted after a big day out.

There are some seats outside to watch the world go by and plenty of seating options inside.

Great chilling place for weekend lunch. Dishes are consistently good over years. Friendly front house. Recommend dishes - squid noodle, scotch quail egg & dry aged duck. Would like to try their unlimited drink & oyster next time 🦪🦪🦪

Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Firebird. Food was sensational and service was excellent. I loved all the dishes we had - grilled oysters, quail eggs, baguette & whipped tofu, beef cappacio, grilled squid (so tender), fire roasted duck (incredible), steak (succulent) and rolled rice noodles. Tried each of the desserts, which had amazing flavours. Can't wait to go back here!

We were a group of four, 2 having the endless lunch and 2 ordering a la carte. All dishes were tasty and in good portion. The a la carte order came a bit late but before inquiring a staff member came apologising and offered a compliment dish. Very happy with the food and service. Will definitely come back.

Lovely restaurant, very busy but staff are always checking in on us. Food and drinks are fabulous, I am not a big fan of fusion food but they did a good job here!

We went for the bottomless brunch, unlimited oyster was the highlight, and their food wasn’t unlimited but it was amazing too.
Exceptional service, staffs went above and beyond to accommodate to our requests!

I wish they have more unlimited drink options but it wasn’t a complain :)

food was so amazing, service was absolutely great, the vibe is magnificent. i went with my family - i wanted a nice restaurant that is not too loud. the interior was so nice, and the place has a great vibe and we can still talk to each other easily without yelling.

the food - it was perfect! my favourite was the quail eggs, the dry aged duck and dessert - the vietnamese coffee parfait. SO GOOD.

my family was absolutely happy as well. will defs come back again!!

It's great. All the foods don't lose the familiar Asian taste. The fusion works well.

Unlimited oysters, unlimited fries, and bottomless drinks for two hours?! Amazing. Not to mention some other tasty treats! The squid salad was actually so tasty. Dish of the day perhaps!

Great casual atmosphere and the staff were very attentive.
We visited for the lunch set menu and was not disappointed.
Lovely charred aroma and all the dishes were packed with flavour.
The oysters were very morish so I'm glad we came on a day where they were offering endless oysters.
Will definitely return to try the rest of the menu.

Wow! This place is superb!

From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a good food experience and Firebird did all that. Great vibes, experienced and welcoming staff too. My friend and I had a great time catching up and we loved the ambience. The waiters were also attentive to our needs, kept our water bottle filled and made sure we were comfortable. As for the food, the flavours of the beef carpaccio is insane and a must try. We also had the green curry, roast chicken, morning glory and the charred corn and all come highly recommended. And who can forget dessert… we had the bomb Alaska! We glad we booked and the place was packed! Compliments to the chef and the staff there. We will be back!

The endless lunch at Firebird is exactly how I want to spend every Saturday 🫶🏼

We checked out Firebird’s gorgeous endless lunch menu which includes BOTTOMLESS grilled oysters with green nuoc man or a fresh style with burnt chilli vinigarette! You also get bottomless potato frites if oysters aren’t your vibe 🥔🦪! Gosh I ate so many oysters! They were incredibly fresh and tasty!! I’m obsessed! Our lovely waitress Belle even convinced my friend to down 3 oysters (bravo 😮‍💨)

We also thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the menu with a favourite being the charcoal free range chicken which was so succulent and came with a delicious burnt chilli nuoc man 😮‍💨 The Vietnamese baguette with black garlic was such an innovative menu item, showcasing the Vietnamese fusion! We loveeeeed this!

Of course we had to add on bottomless booze for $35 and we thoroughly enjoyed the Passiona Spritz!! The sparkling also paired perfectly! There is the option for house beers as well!

IF you have room for dessert you MUST order the hot and cold Vietnamese coffee condensed milk parfait with hot chocolate mousse & cacao nibs!! Omg INSANE- Highly highly recommend!

I definitely hope to return to have so many more of those oysters! The venue is gorgeous and the service was top notch! I can’t wait to come back and try their dinner menu! I want to come back and eat this 🤤

Firebird offers a wonderfully creative take on fusion food, while still upholding the central flavours and elements that makes Vietnamese food so special. My personal favourites were the morning glory, potato gratin and duck (which is honestly the best duck I’ve tried in Melbourne). We were well taken-care of by the lovely staff from start to finish, and had an amazing dinner experience overall.

This was honestly one of the best best places I’ve eaten in the last 2 years. The food was honestly mind blowingly good and I’ve been eating all around melbourne . Me and my partner got the $88 dollars 4 course meal and I like many others usually hate set menus but this …. This was honestly a steal, I had to unbutton my pants because I was so full. The papaya salad with the squid was to die for, I would burn half of melbourne down for that dish, the grill duck made me feel like I ascended to heaven, and the oysters were so darn fresh and it was not fishy at all. I am a heavy heavy critic when it comes to food but my goodness this place went above and beyond. Not to mention the manager grace’s hospitality made me feel like we were family, her staff was so attentive like they were happy to be there with a smile. Cozy yet modern atmosphere, wonderful for date nights. Bravo firebird, bravo. Thank you for an unforgettable night, I’ll be back on the weekend and I will make you bankrupt for your decision to make bottomless drinks and oysters. I will be you worst nightmare. Thanks again grace, it was a great pleasure.

Always have loved the Firedbird interior and beautiful mosaic tables. Did the endless lunch option over the weekend an am obsessed, we added the drinks package and 💯 worth it. Especially as there’s endless oysters both grilled and fresh plus frites with lemongrass sate salt 🤤 my faves other than those is the baguette with garlic purée, squid noodles and the chicken with burnt chilli nuoc mam. Great service from the lovely waiter and bartender too

Alex our host was so lovely and attentative. We came for the bottomless lunch and it definitely delivered, good was great and drinks were readily tended to without the need to ask.
