This place is awesome, lots of cool equipment, and Alex is a fantastic trainer, he’s particularly good at making things easy for beginners, taking it all back to basics to make sure we get it right and we enjoy the process, as well as engaging and checking on each and every one of us. Seeing what members that have being going there consistently for a while is inspiring, the first class I attended got me tired eventually but it was so much fun and I can’t wait for next class!

I’ve been training with Alex every week since about 2011 because he makes it challenging yet fun and no one session is ever the same. He quickly gets to know what a body needs – and what our minds like to avoid – and I’m fitter and stronger two years shy of 60 than I was in my mid-40s when I started. I think it’s because Alex really cares about making sure that your training enhances your lifestyle, so that you can do everything else you love – yoga, bushwalking, tennis, surfing, swimming. He takes it all into account. And if you turn up to training with an injury from soccer or tennis, Alex takes care to help you recover and rebuild. If you’ve never run, trained or gone to the gym but would like to be stronger, I highly recommend training with Alex. If you’re a workout junkie, you will also love training with Alex. It is never too late to start.

Really enjoying PT classes with Alex at Melbourne Cali. The sessions are tailored to me to grow in strength and flexibility through combination of body weight and weighted exercises. Alex challenges me in this training to improve my overall health through exercise and diet. He is flexible with my goals and supports other sporting interests such as running with relevant strength and flexibility mixed into my training. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I've been going here for over a year now and absolutely love it! Everyone is super friendly,, engaging and encouraging. Alex who owns the gym is well versed in fitness and calisthenics. Would recommend to anyone who's wanting to improve their fitness and have fun whilst doing so.

Great place to workout and such great people. Alex is the main trainer there and he is super friendly, funny and chill. The place is not intimidating at all and you are always surprised with what your body is capable of! Highly recommend giving it a try :)

I have been going to this gym for years. It is an excellent calisthenics gym with a large range of calisthenics equipment. Alex is also a great trainer. Would highly recommend coming along to one of the evening training sessions!

A bunch of people from all genders and nationalities gather here every day to endure Alex and his team's tough love.

If you think you are fit but never tried calisthenics, think again. Or maybe show up and give it a go, and be prepared to go through one of the toughest training sessions you will have experienced, surrounded by a handful of supportive, friendly humans.

The best place to be - always a fun group of people to do this form of excercise!!! No matter what fitness level we all move at the same pace for warm ups/downs - we may break off to do different level activity but we all still work with one another! Honestly a great fun place to learn - if you have body image issues, confidence issues everyone in the different levels all work with you - it's the place to be!!!!

The place to train if you wish to learn how Calisthenics is done on the Streets. Trainers are very knowledgable. Strict with form and technique with a lot of fun. If you are looking to get your first pull/chin up or have the perfect push up, then you cannot go past Melbourne Calisthenics.

Alex & co at Melbourne Calisthenics have a never-ending array of bodyweight based exercises that are always challenging and delivered with great expertise and good humour by down to earth trainers. The online classes are almost as good as the real thing and will keep you motivated and fit during lockdown. Good times w cali.

The online sessions have been a great way to maintain and build strength during lockdown. Definitely noticed a massive improvement in my own training that can be attributed to these classes. Highly recommend.

Just finished my first group class. I am coming in again on Saturday week for a 1on1 session. Impressed so far and I am a personal trainer as well. Everything is explained so well. Great bunch of people.
