Thanks to all the staff who served our big group last night. We felt very well catered to and food and drinks came steadily. Really appreciate how accommodating you all were, especially on a busy Sat night. Food was quite good, their assortment of sushi rolls and milk choc ice cream were the highlight. Oriental sour was a great cocktail aswell. Thank you!

The food were amazing and the staff were very friendly. The price were somewhat reasonable. We ordered 7-8 dishes and drinks and cost us $240. The only dish we were not happy about was the beef curry. The beef was very dry. The matcha crème brûlée was my favourite. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again.

Booked dinner for an occasion with 17 people in the bamboo/ glass roof atrium. The staff were wonderful, and the $75 set menu was delicious and very filling. We had one vegetarian among us, and her plates looked a little sad. I wouldn't hesitate to book again to celebrate another special occasion!!

A hip funky Japanese restaurant in the heart up upbeat Brunswick. A place you defiantly want to go to with friends and family. The venue itself has such a upbeat vibe that guarantees a good start to your night. A menu to temp all tastebuds matched with a great selection of drinks. Grab a bit of everything and share between all. A venue where food really does bring everyone together. Makes sure to make a booking and it is a busy venue. Oh the service is great to. Enjoy 😊

Absolutely gorgeous. Discovered through google search. Secured a booking on a busy weekend. Advisable to book in advance aa the place was packed. The ambience was beautiful with great music. The staff was very helpful and sweet. Tried a lot of things, the food was fresh and flavourful. The presentation was beautiful! Went for my favourite crispy cauliflower and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Although there are very few veg options, vegetarians do have some great options. The banoffee dessert was absolutely amazing! Loved the whole experience. Highly recommended.

Service was 💯 by the waiters at this Izakaya. We were celebrating a birthday and they helped to nicely plate the cakes and even gave a sparkler. They also helped to change our plates after meal for the serving of cake. The food was impressive as well both the raw and cooked food. Will highly recommend everyone to come! You can also make request for where you’d like to sit indoor/ outdoor/ or indoor with glass roof etc. when making booking.

I great Japanese izakaya close to Melbourne's CBD offering great food and cocktails. There's a good variety of meat and vegetarian options as well as a good range alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails. It's a perfect place for a small group of friends to catch up. They have booths set up that fits up to 6 people. The kaarage chicken was moist and crispy, as was the tempura and fried cauliflower. A great place for sharing plates and drinks.

The atmosphere is really great with a beautiful outdoor area lush in plants. We ordered the set menu for $75 pp which was quite good and filled us up. Our favourites were the ebi mayo prawns and the chocolate harumaki dessert. The only thing we could complain about was the last savoury meal we thought was quite plain, (it was just chicken, broccolini and rice). Other than that everything was excellent. Would recommend.

I have been told by so many to check out this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. Every single dish was on point. Some of my favourite dishes were the okonomiyaki and the beef curry. The curry was rich in flavour and the beef was cooked perfectly. Meanwhile the okonomiyaki was as good as the ones I have had in Japan and one of the best in Melbourne. If you ever visit this restaurant the portions are larger than other restaurants so order few dishes first and then order somemore if you are still hungry we over ordered and ended up eating up everything until we couldn't move.

We ordered the set menu so that we can try most things on the menu in 1 go. It is very filling! The standout dish were the prawns! I really liked the dessert aswell, as I love chocolate and it was very rich chocolate!
It is a great venue on a buzzing spot. Personally it was a bit to loud in there but it would have just been that there was a large group of young guys celebrating a birthday. Staff were quick and attentive.

The dishes I had were so incredible! I admit they are a bit pricey but honestly they are worth the price for such quality taste. I can’t pick one as a favorite, I honestly love them all 😝

I went here with my friend, so next time i’ll be back and take my bf here, he’ll love it too 😍

UPDATE 12/10/2022:

On 15 September for our Date Night we went to Ichi Ni Nana Izakaya ✨

We got:
🍸 Kooba Kooba
🦪 Hokkaido Scallops
1. Den Miso + Spring Onion
2. Yuzu Kosho
3. Ponzu + Wasabi
4. Motoyaki
5. Garlic Soy
🥞 Okonomiyaki
🥩 Gyu (Beef) Kushiyaki
🦐 Ebi (Prawn) Kushiyaki
🍗 Momo Yakitori (Chicken Thigh)
🍢 Tsukune Yakitori (Chicken Mince)
🍣 Wagyu Maki Rolls
🍣 Dragon Maki Rolls

Everything was delicious and flavorful! My favorites were the scallops and Wagyu rolls, Andrew’s favorites were both chicken yakitori 😋 We’d say skip the okonomiyaki as it wasn’t as flavorful as we expected compared to the rest of dishes we got.

The place itself was nicely decorated and the seating spaces were great to create intimate vibes, especially with the moody lighting. The staff was friendly and attentive.

From booking to dessert, the whole experience was flawless. The atmosphere alone is worth the 5 stars. Food was good, nothing we haven't had before. But the whole package is something worth going for. Had a small group dinner there and was quite busy so bear that in mind. Otherwise, very impressive overall!

Superb quality. Meat and fish so fresh and tasty, they would melt in your mouth. The eggplant was also very delicious and so was the seaweed salad. Everything was outstanding, including service and staff. Highly recommended!

this was a really amazing night out with friends after the lockdown, spent some great quality time here, everyone happy and the restaurant area packed, some food waited longer than the other but the food were pretty good and delicious, the seaweed on sushi taco were a little soft but tastes amazing, then we had okonomiyaki, pork dumplings, & the Sanjay Nana Plate, feeling the fish are fresh and tasty, so good. i had the Choya for drinks, they are so good with the fish.

Gotta be my favourite Japanese restaurant in Melbourne. The atmosphere is fantastic, the waiters are friendly and knows their craft, and love the sushi and sashimi platter as well as their desserts! Been here twice and had a blast! Will be coming back for more in years to come
