Claiming warranty for a faulty smoke alarm was a breeze. The smoke alarm was replaced within a day.

I reported a fault with a Clipsal smoke alarm under warranty 5 weeks ago. It hasn't been dealt with yet, which seems too long, given this is a safety device.

Saturn Zen, Push Button Switch, LED
Biggest waste of money. Renovated house and replaced every switch and power point with Saturn Zen range worth 2k. Cover plates on these switches are so flimsy that if you do need to take the cover off for any reason, the 4 little pins that hold the cover in place snap off, when you try to align the plate to put it back in place. Once they snap off, you cannot put the cover plate back on, it falls off I was told that Clipsal do not just sell the cover plates by themselves. You must purchase the whole light switch. Do yourself a favour and steer away from these switches. Biggest regret purchasing these switches. I am up to 4 switches with no cover plate.

Clipsal / Schneider need to produce a proper solid state ceiling fan wall controller that works on older ceiling fans. These are readily available in the US and allows people to replace bulky ceiling fans switches with a slimmer wall controller and continue using the older ceiling fan without any problems. Clipsal’s fan controller on the other hand makes an awful humming sound which drives you to insanity and forces you dispose of the older, but perfectly working, ceiling fan. This just contributes to landfill. Clipsal used to produce a good quality solid state switch for use on lights and fans, but they stop making it. This switch should be brought back again. I don’t have any problems paying more for something that actually works.
