Recently had an issue with a hard drive, I had ordered the wrong interface! It was promptly replaced without hesitation, excellent friendly service.

Great website with attractive prices lead me to come in store to purchase a modem. The store was easy to find with parking out front, and there was no wait after ringing the bell. Super professional service by experts who are approachable and funny. No judgement on questions asked and advice given in a easy to understand and remember delivery. I walked to the shop in West Melbourne because AusPost has become unreliable to buy my part. The service is quite fast, don’t expect much more. It’s more of a warehouse or collection point. You need to have the part reference code ready for the clerk at the till. I was the only person there on a weekday morning.

Great service, great range of products - they've got your usual range of IT parts, as well as desktop builds, laptops, and a wide range of accessories and peripherals. Prices are also very competitive. Being in the city, parking right outside is probably not going to happen, but the side streets within very reasonable walking distance have metered parking.

CPL is the type of computer store you go to when you know exactly what you want. This doesn’t mean they can’t help or give advice on what you might need, however the store can be intimidating for someone that is a computer novice. With that out of the way, my experience with CPL has been positive, most of the time I will just head into store after verifying their website for stock and just ask for the exact item at the counter, the transaction is quick and fast when you are not waiting. Sometimes they will only be able to do 1 person at a time, which means if your unlucky you have to wait until someone in front of you orders 10+parts and pays etc.. but otherwise its fine. I have had no complaints about components I have bought from them, and they are pretty competitive with prices of the likes of PC Case Gear and CPL has more convenient locations around Melbourne!
Overall if you know what you want, CPL offers decent prices and convenience for your PC part needs.

I've been shopping here for about 8 years now and have always found it to be a great place to shop. The cheapest prices around and it's always quick and easy to order online and pick up a couple of days later. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for whenever you need new computer equipment.

I have bought quite a lot of different parts from various places. I like CPL a lot. The West Melb store could definitely do with a front area makeover but the service and advice of the guy here has been really good. I definitely trust doing business with these guys and recommend them strongly.

Second cheapest gear in Melbourne after MSY (difference is usually only one or two dollars) but heaps more range in their stock. People complaining about their experience at the counter need to consider the price. If u want to be pampered go pay 30-40% more at Harvey Norman. Oh and browse online but always call to check on stock before turning up at the store. Do that and you should have a cheap and painless experience.

This is a supermarket for computer parts. The prices are great but do not expect staff to spend 15 min with you explaining things. If that's what you want go someplace else that costs more to cover that type of service.. at cpl.. line up order what you want and get out.. as there are many pro IT people behind you wanting to get in and out as fast as possible..

Now that I have your attention, please, SERIOUSLY consider shopping elsewhere.
You'll have NO joy with their return, exchange policy (simply doesn't exist despite what you read).
Plenty of other shops around with same prices but without the risk of being unsatisfied and out of pocket $$$$.
Expect to read about them from the ACCC in the near future.

The place to go for all your IT and computer needs, be sure to visit their website to see their range of products and to ensure they are available. It's basically a shop front to a warehouse of computer goods. Great prices, great service, been shopping there for over 10 years. [This is their new shop, the old one was sold and converted into apartments]

Had a great experience with the CPL team - great pricing and great customer service. I was itching to get the parts and followed up every day, and the team provided insightful updates and estimates so I could arrange collection on a work day.

For computer parts this is a great place if you know what you want and you get a very good price. There's a huge range but very little is on display. It can be a bit slow if there is a queue. Check the website before you visit so you know what you want and have confirmed it's in stock.

Always helpful, always professional. Legit prices and good stock levels. What more could you want?
