Great place with great atmosphere. It does look like you are outside in a garden.
We were in a private room and service and food were excellent. Each dish was explained and served with wines to match. Highly recommend.

Cool bar with so many different sections for couples or groups. Love the atmosphere and the decor is cool as is the beer selection. A great place for after work drinks or a chilled afternoon on the weekend. Oh and great bar snacks.

Very close to Flinders Street station. Great place to meetup, have a booze or a vodka. Designed in 3 levels open to each other. The ambience created is wonderful.

Feels cosy when you go to like the lower floor. DJ will play I think Friday and Saturday. Can dance around a bit too. Take ya colleagues, friends or maybe family. Go there don't rush spend some time.

Such a great venue with different dining and bar areas - great sports watching bar out front with fresh beer good good and great service, sleek downstairs cocktail bar with a tree overhead, and an amazing more fine dining option out the back (private dining for hire upstairs even with its own balcony) all with phenomenal service and a swagger to its fitout to boot. Food in the dining room was mouth watering Potatoes that taste like Pringles from a jar, lamb shoulder falling apart, fresh snapper ceviche, swordfish that made me want to cry happy tears. Just - wow.

This is a great place to meet for a gathering or lunch , Dinner.
It has a variety of areas. The roof is glass and it gives you the feeling your in the garden of an old warehouse.
They brew beer there as well.

Fantastic bar at a great location and nice indoor setting, plenty of seating areas.

A superb after work drinks location with different areas to suit everyone. The Rose Garden definitely my favourite - old school R&B jams on Friday nights. The long waiting list not so fun, but great vibes overall.

good food at decent prices. really enjoyed the polenta chips. unfortunately, came on labour day public holiday so the restuarant wasn't serving the full menu (I think?). but the food that was on offer was good enough, there were still sides and mains. wide selection of alcohol to choose from too. the ambience was great, a massive place with different types of seating in different settings. really enjoyed my time here.

It was really nice to come here during lunch time when it's not that busy. Get to enjoy the atmosphere and nice chat with the lovely bartenders. Great selection of drinks

The Garden state hotel is a nice place to grab a drink and something to eat. Loved the atmosphere! It was quite busy and noisy on the Friday that I went, which makes it a bit difficult to have small chat.

We organised a staff dinner and drinks here last week with Alicia and she was amazing from wow to go. Dealing with dietary requirements, and putting together a fantastic night of great food and bev. Matthew who was looking after us on the night with the other staff were on point and nothing was too much. Hopefully the fancy dress was all good team...

Nice atmosphere to hang around with friends. Noisy so had to scream n talk. Liked the drinks. Gin n tonic with lemon n ice hit the spot and was perfectly made. Would definitly go back again after work.

Really cool and trendy venue. Friendly staff, great ambience. A must visit if you're visiting Melbourne.

Attended a work dinner here last week. Great atmosphere and great food. The sharing menu is excellent.

Amazing place to go for drinks after work, decoration is amazing. Variety of food, we ordered chicken parma, it was delicious.

Great mix of people. Bar staff are terrific creating a really happy party atmosphere. Really impressive drinks menu, with snack food served. Very well designed venue and it reflects in the crowd. What really impressed me was the lack of ego from all who attended great night out whether with friends or a cool end to a date.
