Its quicker getting served here than the pub. The range us extensive, timber is better (straighter, less knots) than the big box hardware/supply chains and the prices are sometimes half!

I’ve been buying from Melville for almost 3years and now wouldn’t go anywhere else for material. If they don’t have what you’re looking for they can get it and prices are always very competitive. Amazing service. The bloke came over to the car to ask how he could help me! He knows the product, where it is, the pros and cons of the different options. Nothing hurried, but everything done with an economy of motion and (astounding in a hardware place) pleasantly!

Good range, quality timber and friendly staff. Helped us out with a small order right on closing time (even cut bits to length!) and it was a decent price too.

Shopped here a few times and highly recommend. If you want straight bits of quality timber or even just fencing bits for small projects this place is better, cheaper and more knowledgeable than you know who.

Good old fashioned Timber yard where the boys know their timber and hardware.

Have been renovation our 100 year old house in Brunswick over the last eight months and all the problems that it brings from a patch piece of ceder ,weather boards treated pine etc etc . The quality and service is the best i have ever recived ,they go above and beyond to assist from the smallest request to larger orders there knowledge and service should be a lesson to there compeditors. There are not many businesses like this that offer more of a personalised service where the management and staff have great knowledge and experience with the products they sell.

Friendly helpful service, good crew able to help you find timbre to meet your needs. These guys can thickness timbre if you need, not sure if they do you're own stuff (always a risk there would be metal in byo timbre, so probably not) but they will definitely thickness timbre for you that they sell. Great for custom pieces that you need to replace. Good prices too..... support these guys, or we'll only be left with Bunnings

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Even though they didn’t stock what I needed, they tried their best and were some of the most friendly people .. highly recommended.

Best place ever. These guys are great. Best advice, great brains. Short, fast & smart. Old school woodyard with a top bunch of people who know what they are doing. Same price as the 'green guys', with great personal service.
