The Wanderer Thai Kitchen and Bar

We had Valentine dinner here and it was an amazing experience. The food was yum and good portion. The staff was so nice and helpful despite they had full house yesterday. The decor was lovely and the music was on spot. Even though it was fully booked, I m happy we had enough space for ourselves and our dishes without touching the people on our left and right. I appreciate the set wasn’t too tight and leave us some private space to talk and dine. I would definitely come back. My husband loves the dinner too!

Probably the best service I've ever had. The table was for a hens event .The live music from 6pm was great , the food was delicious and came out fast and the service they provide was really accommodating as they set up balloons for us around the table free of charge which was unexpected .

Great atmosphere at this restaurant. Live music and really friendly staff. The stand out dishes for the night were the beef rendang and the broccoli with roasted port. We also enjoyed the desert during the night. If you enjoy spice, just order chilli on the side. Overall. Great restaurant for group of friends to catch up.

Came here for my birthday last night. And they prepared balloons for me. It was a very nice gesture as I wasn't expecting that.

We got the large banquet, twice cooked pork belly, green papaya, Tom yum, lobster rice paper roll and the DUCK CURRY ♥♥ All was super delicious - highly recommend! The pad Thai was flavoursome too but noodle a bit chewy but my friend loved it (personal preference?)

U know the food is too good when u forget to take photos of everything haha!

Staff were friendly. James was approachable and offered to take photos for us too.

There was live music performance and honestly it was the best experience!

❤: Loved the Grilled Porterhouse & Lychee Salad with tamarind and lime chilli dressing. The meat was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The Massaman Beef Curry was AMAAAAZING too. Beef was so soft and tender you barely have to chew!!

We came here on Wednesday night for our anniversary (first time here) and the service was absolutely amazing!

We got the pork as the entree and salmon as the main to share.

The pork was so delicious, crunchy and was just so soft! (My favourite!!)

The salmon was full of flavour and the caviar was a beautiful touch.

We also got drinks and dessert too, we tried the Thai Kiki and the Japanese slipper, we loved the drinks so much we ordered another with dessert! The dessert was very decent too!

Overall extremely satisfied with our anniversary date night, the perfect ambience and a culinary delight on a budget. Will be back very soon!!

You guys should really give it a try in this absolutely wonderful atmosphere restaurant, there's live saxophone performer on a Thursday evening! Their service is 5 star top notch, if you are having a birthday, they will service you so well with candles and light stick, just tell them what you want, they will prepare for you, I didn't expect the food is as great as well, I especially love the duck salad, stir fry pork belly with brocoli! Environment and lighting are in moody and great lighting! I love the service, waiter and waitress are really nice, just wait for them alittle because they are so busy. Their mocktails are great as well. Another final surprise when they chase me and give me a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc because it was my birthday. This made my day, all the small little gesture that they are trying to do, absolutely wonderful. I will still come back to enjoy the live music performance with great food. Thanks for the wonderful night 😊. It was a great birthday dinner.

Nice atmosphere , food price and portion are reasonable. After 11pm , the restaurant becomes a bar under Thonglor Melbourne with live band. Sigha /Heineken Beer 5 bottles for 30$

Amazing Thai style fusion in Melbourne. All the foods and desserts were delicious. The place is really beautiful decoration. I will definitely com back.

Customer service is best so far, outstanding pad Thai. Nice place for birthdays and dinners. Has good vegetarian options but can do with some more.

Amazing service, the staffs are really friendly and polite. The food is very tasty, however the portions are small to share if you eat a lot. We ordered Green chicken curry, Thai Spicy Beef and Pad Thai, everything was so good. To drink we ordered Pina Colada, Aperol and Expresso Martini. The Pina Colada so delicious.

Very cozy restaurant with live amazing soothing music. Ordered fried rice recommended to try with spicy powder tastes yum! Spring rolls are fresh and must try. Fast service and friendly staff. Finally, roti will melt in your mouth 😋

Had my birthday here last night, and people thought the atmosphere was lovely! The food was delicious, there was live music, and especially the service was super and everyone working was really friendly and attentive. Do reccomend!

Foods that I ordered tasted excellent. The meat in stir-fried pork belly with chinese brocolli is well marinated and has good crunchiness in it. The chicken green curry with prata bread has a balanced sweetness and spiciness that is well suited to my taste buds.

Furthermore, the ambience is awesome. The lighting is a bit dim, which creates a romantic feeling. Room is fragrant, and decorations are well on point. On top of all that, the service is excellent, too. Waiting time was short, and (the one who seems to be) the owner is super friendly.

Wishing The Wanderer Thai Kitchen and Bar a huge success! Will definitely come back when I visit Melbourne again to try the bar! :)

AMAZING experience all around! Cannot recommend enough! Everything was exceptional, the food was very good, the service was fast and staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is wonderful too, cool and relaxing place to have a meal, and their live singer had an amazing voice. We got Pad Thai, Pad Si-ew, Thai milk tea and Sticky Rice with Mango and it was all delicious!!

My favourite restaurant in Melbourne: perfect location, fantastic food and excellent service! Authentic Thai food, however including options for vegetarians. Loved my Pina colada and therefore this restaurant could be a great place to start your girls night out as well! Apparently all the plates are handmade in Thailand - how cool is that?! Doesn't get much more authentic than that!

Food tasted superb! It was after 9PM when we came in but we were greeted with bright friendly smiles. The ambience of the restaurant is chic, upscale and yet very cozy.
