Fabulous morning at Bress. Was an unplanned and spontaneous decision to drop by after a weekend staying locally. We were greeted by the warm and wonderful Tim the winemaker himself, and enjoyed an exclusive hour tasting (NB. Go the $10 tasting, superb value. I would've been happy to pay $15).
The history, the stories and the amazing wines.
Yes we left with a good selection in the car boot.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Well worth the short detour of the highway for a picturesque and thoughtful cellar door. Excellent range of quality wine and Chardonnay and Shiraz are easy to drink. Staff are friendly and pleased to discuss the wines in an informative and relaxed way. Sign up for the mailing list for an immediate 10% discount

Last weekend my partner and I had the pleasure of heading up to Bress to escape the hustle of bustle of Melbourne. If I could give Bress six stars I absolutely would. From the moment you step foot on the stunning property you are met with smiles and of course a glass of wine.

Adam & Chris ran a pre-lunch tour which was a highlight as I got to educate myself on how my favourite wine (Cabernet Franc) is even made!
After the tour we sat down for a stunning lunch paired with the most exquisite wines. We were seated next to two hilarious couples that made the afternoon even more enjoyable.
The lunch itself was flawless. Beautiful enriched flavours, produced and grown from the winery itself. What other winery in Australia does that?! I mean c'mon.

To finish the afternoon off, we bought ourselves a couple of bottles to have back home, reminding us of the beautiful weekend spent at Bress. xx

We will be back soon! 💕

One of the best wineries i've been to. The Chablis was my favourite! I don't know if it's the weather but i've been enjoying the whites lately. If you're up for a red i'd recommend their Gold pinot noir.

Food was amazing, well cooked and you can't get fresher than vegies grown on site.

Welcoming team, perfect place to wind down on the weekend.

We visited Harcourt for a wedding and stopped in at Bress on the way home. A beautiful cellar door with a nice outdoor seating area. We met a great man who stepped us through the premium tasting option and the stories of Bress. An amazing experience with no wine (or cider) disappointing, I couldn't help but buy a few bottles. Highly recommend you visit and if I am in the area again it will be our first stop! Thank you Bress!!

Firstly, do not trust google maps to get you there, it got us to the end of a track so remote we were expecting a Wolf Creek scenario.

Secondly, you should definitely persevere and get here. We had the pleasure of being entertained by their head wine maker, Adam, while there. After a giving us a taste of freshly pressed wine that will make it way into bottles in a few months, he proceeded to give us what is easily the most entertaining and honest wine tasting experience I’ve had. Topped off with some tapas in the shade on a 35c day with one of their Chardonnays. Highly recommend.

wow wow wow!! If there is one winery to visit when your in the Bendigo region, its Bress. What an absolute treat to stumble on this gem. We were given a top of range wine tour by the ever so knowledgeable Chris. Chris has a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology so his knowledge was unprecedented. Just a fantastic afternoon out at this winery. Do yourself a favour and head there for lunch, or just a casual glass of their vast selection of home grown wines.

One of the best wineries to visit in central Victoria. This is due to the picturesque setting, the superb wine, the friendly staff and the great food (because most of the produce is grown in their gardens).
A special call out to Chris and P. J. who are so welcoming. Adam is there too!!

The experience here is fun, unique and delicious! If you visit during wine making season you may even be invited to crush grapes. The wines are epic and speak speak of their place. The site specialises in organic and biodynamic practices, with a majority of the food served from the onsite kitchen garden. The food alone is worth the trip, the chef is at the top of her game and value is exceptional! Try for yourself…

We have been going here for sometime now and we really enjoy it. Beautiful property, delicious wine and food. The pig roasts and moonlight dinner events are a treat as well. Have always had great and knowledgeable service from the staff as well.

Good staff, great wine and a big cuddly dog. We didn't get to try the restaurant, but it smelled absolutely amazing just passing by. A definite must stop.
