Westpac Branch Melbourne Central

I spoke to Phil about home loans and give a good interest rate compared to my current bank. He is very honest and look after your interest as well by suggesting if I want to check with my bank if they can match the rate he offered before deciding.

Daniel was super helpful and informative. Westpac is lucky to have an employee like him. Thanks for all the help and great service!

I went there with my boyfriend to open bank accounts. We were received by Mr Shao. He was so nice and explained everything that we needed to know. So happy we made the choice to come to this place to open our accounts. Procedures were simple and did not even take an hour. So if you need to open a bank account rapidly, don't hesitate and come here!

This new branch just opened last Monday. I called just to make sure that they were open. The Westpac team member who answered my call was extremely welcoming. With the greatest of respect, this is not common in many banks nowadays. I subsequently attended the branch and was looked after by Benjamin (who answered the phone). He was just as friendly and helpful in the branch as he was on the phone. I also happened to meet the manager - Sumi. She was also extremely affable.

Fairly new, I visited this branch for the first time earlier in the week but returned on Saturday morning while in the CBD however, it was closed. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. What I like most about this branch is that it's in a great location at Melbourne Central, directly opposite Tram Stop No 5 on Elizabeth Street. The branch is accessibility friendly.

The store is on Elizabeth Street by tram stop 5, it's not accessible from within Melbourne Central.

ATM are in the foyer out of the weather

For a busy CBD branch they had a single staff member (looks like a Branch manager) on duty to help with customer queries. Long line of customers all the way out the door onto the street. Not the team's fault but not the kind of service/staffing level I would expect from a big 4 bank.

This branch is trashed often and lack regular upkeep.

It would also be much better if at least one westpac branch around the CBD is open on Saturday. A lot of room for improvement...

The manager of this branch was very rude, unprofessional and not helpful at all. She didn’t even take the time to understand my situation and jumped straight into conclusions. I will not be back at this branch and I don’t recommend anyone going here.

Tried to deposit my money through the atm machine. The machine took my money, but didnt go through my account. Tried to tell my problem to the staff, waited on the line for so long, finally my turn, the staff asked me to get my phsyical passport. (Which I didnt bring, you're not gonna carry your passport all the time with you ). When I was on d line, one lady approached me and asked my problem, I explained to her my problem, and she asked me to wait on the line. At least she should tell me that I need to present phsyical passport to process my problem before my turn , wasting my time! And took my money!

Their staff are FRAUD. Beware, 8th May 2023, a staff who’s identified as an Asian woman age over 45, worked at the front Help desk, purposely providing false information and lies, just because what you do doesn’t benefit them. Went to several different banks and confirmed their lies.
