Fresh and yummy pastry and good coffee . I’m obsessed with their Almond Croissant . The only thing I would suggest is a couple of chairs outside for seating, and also organizing inside a bit more so the environment is more pleasant. Overall a very satisfying bakery!

The best fluffy almond crossaint and crispy cheese stick in town since 2019! Buttery goodness oozes while freshly baked and warm.

My new favourite bakery!
I used to go to Agathe in South Melbourne for the croissants but not only is it far for me but now there is always a line.

Gordan St Bakery has a simple selection to pick from. Everything I've tried here has been so good. The almond croissant and cheese sticks are my favourite.

Was put onto the almond and Nutella croissants yesterday and already had to go back on the tram to get another one! I normally don't like almond croissants but these are a game changer. Only wish would be to be able to sit in and enjoy one with a coffee. Please open a place in the CBD - these are sensational! Also had a soy flat white which was really nice too :)

Don't bother with Lune or anywhere else. This place does the best Croissant in all of Melbourne!

Tried the vegan Croissant, nornal Croissant, almond Croissant and palmier and could not fault a single thing. Perfectly crispy, buttery and full of flavour. The perfect pastry to satisfy all your cravings.

Will definitely be back to try the other menu items and bread loaves!

We ordered the Almond & Chocolate almond croissants on recommendation by my brother. Best I’ve had HANDS DOWN! I’ve been to France too. The only critique is the latte and hot chocolate we ordered were too hot (reduces flavour and burns the pallet). Please keep the pallet for your amazing products. Well done to the baker, you’re a maestro!

Came at about midday on Wednesday and there were so many pastries left! Tried their choc croissant, cheese twist and baguette. Choc croissant was crispy and chewy, solid croissant!! Have yet to taste the cheese twist and baguette but I'm sure they're delicious. No parking right out front but there's some around the back!

Really yummy pastries - almond croissant $6, chocolate almond croissant $6.50. Both were rich and had to finish over two sittings but not sickly sweet, texture was crunchy on the outside but soft and pillowy inside. 😋

There's not much point posting more about the top shelf baked goods at the Gordon Street Bakery but I would like make note of the unfailing warmth and kindness shown by the people who serve behind the counter. If I am having an average day their energy is always spirit lifting. May it come back to them.

We bought almond croissant, almond chocolate croissant, galette, and olive sourdough.

I'm not a sweet food person but even I could tell the croissants and galette are really good. It's slightly too sweet for my palate, but not overly sweet. The pastry though, it's amazing. Flakey, buttery, and light.
The highlight of my day is the olive bread. Very flavourful just by itself. I prepared a dipping of olive oil with garlic. Must try!

There's no sitting in the area, only take aways.

Edit: bought cheese sticks the next day. Yum yum!

I am an absolute almond croissant fiend and this place has the BEST almond croissants. I can't describe to you how buttery, crisp, flakey their croissant is. The filling is generous and tastes so goooood, you can't go wrong

Almond croissants are divine. Cheese sticks are awesome. Yet to try the coffee but the caffeine aroma on entry is pretty damn good

Wow!!

Great bread. Seriously great.

Ordered a loaf of sour dough, a baguette, croissants and various other French pastries to go. They were all awesome. Went back the next day at 12:45pm and the baker said (with a French accent) “no no, so sorry, we sold out of bread at 11:30am today”!!

French accent is so hot. I smiled and left with more croissants.

Overall: 5/5

BEST ALMOND CROISSANT EVER. IN MELBOURNE. Better than your infamous TV-broadcasted ones.

I am a sucker for almond croissants, whether it’s filled with frangipane or custard creme with other exciting elements such as yuzu or some lemon zing. Top pastry shops or patisseries definitely raise the benchmark at a competitively difficult level, but this tiny bakery on Gordon St surpass it with such ease. You can really see how much fun the bakers have when making the creamy filling in the almond croissants as well as their beautiful arrangement of sourdough breads. They serve a small variety of baked goods and are only open Thursdays-Sundays, but they do their best in showcasing their passion in patisseries.

Almond croissant (5/5):
Lune have a citrusy flavour and double-baked croissant exterior, and Bakemono have the most amazing light yet creamy yuzu filling with their well-toasted almonds. With that in mind, Gordon St has the texture of that double-baked flakiness and perfectly-toasted almond croissants. Most importantly, the creamiest frangipane ever to exist that I still dream about - not too sweet with enough kick. Generous filling compared to other bakeries. Make sure to lick that frangipane good because you’ll be on the ground dying from how good it is and how bad it’ll be if it went to waste.

Cheese stick (4/5):
When you thought the flakiness from the almond croissant is enough, this was just beyond flaky. Idk but I found this a bit too excessive. All that flake falls off from the bread and you lose about 1/5 of your pastry. Other than that, omg so buttery and rich in that cheese flavour. Flavour reminds me of your Baker’s Delight cheese breads in terms of saltiness. Worth a try!

Overall, very cheap for stealing the spot for my favourite food in the entire universe. Service is very streamlined and fast, especially when their breads and pastries are made and brought to the display window in front of you.

Will be seeing me there more often and can’t wait to try their other pastries and breads. Heard their olive sourdough is amazing!

I grew up eating croissants (francophone background). I have spent a lot of time trying many of the renown croissants in Melbourne. This is the best I have ever had and the place never dissappoints no matter how many times I visit. Everything I have tried thus far, the plain croissant, pain au chocolat, almond croissant, chocolate almond croissant, cheese stick, palmier, have all been perfect; I would not change anything about them. The plain croissant is the best I have ever had, with a perfect balance of crispy, flaky, buttery and soft. The chocolate almond croissant is a must-try.

The food here is absolutely jaw droppingly good. Their pastry melts in your mouth, all of the textures and flavours are absolutely perfect. Super cheap for a breakfast/brunch/lunch visit with decent coffees - it's often packed though for its small size so don't expect to get a seat right away (if at all). They only serve a few delicacies, so don't go here if you're wanting a hot meal/pie/sandwich/typical bakery cake - they specialise in Croissants, bread, cookies and cheese sticks and coffees - that's just about their whole menu, but they have mastered each item (bar the coffees, they're just average).

Love all croissant from this bakery. It own and bake by French baker. It taste just as good as all the other famous French bakery in South Melbourne and Brunswick, but with a more reasonable price. Very friendly staff too.
