We spent a very good time here with nice riverside views and delicious food. Highly recommended the slow cooked lamb shoulder , it had been cooked to tender, which was delicious with red wine sauce and side with baby broccoli and kipfler potatoes.

This place is awesome! We had the most delicious breakfast! The Steak Sanger was out of this world amazing! (All day burgers! Wow!). The indoor space has a cosey couch to chill as an option. However we enjoyed the sunny outside tables. Swift friendly customer service from the fantastic crew. We highly recommend & appreciate

Amazing place. The interior is very inspiring and speciality coffee outstanding. I also had a yummy and generous almond croissant. Friendly stuff and upbeat music completed the experience. I stopped by for coffee but ended up staying for a quick session of creative work. Very pleased with the experience and definitely will be back!

Breakfast with a view. Whether seated inside or out, you can’t go wrong at The Espressonist in Docklands. We loved both the food and the setting.

We ordered the Smashed avocado and Breakfast salad bowl along with a latte and a Ruby grapefruit cold pressed juice to drink.

Everything we ordered was beautifully plated, I loved all the vibrant colours. The breakfast salad was lovely, everything in the bowl worked together beautifully. It’s a great option if you feel like something healthy. The smashed avocado was nicely complemented with a charred corn salad. It was fresh and full of flavour. The Ruby grapefruit cold pressed juice was nice and refreshing with a hint of tartness.

The espressionist is a gorgeous cafe serving a great variety of thoughtfully curated cafe dishes, enjoy your brunch whether it’s with the harbour view outside or inside in their beautiful dining setting. We tried the-

▪Spicy Chorizo Benedict ($26) Grilled chorizo, poached eggs, house-made hash browns, snow pea tendrils, green apple, vinaigrette, Bearnaise sauce
▪Soft Shell Crab Soft Shell Tacos ($19) Warm tortillas, guacamole, slaw, coriander, Thai basil, lime, tomato salsa, pickled chilli, Sriracha mayo
▪Grilled Salmon with broad bean and pea smash ($30) pickled shallots, dill, chervil, salmon roe, beurre blanc
▪Ruby Grapefruit Cold Pressed Juice ($7.50)
▪Pomegranate Cold Pressed Juice ($9)

The standout is definitely the overall aesthetic of the cafe, the docklands harbour views were really nice, the decorations were fancy, and the seating area was spacious and comfortable. The staff were all super friendly and accommodating, and overall cafe had good vibes- the convenient location meant it was good place to have a relaxing nice stroll after brunch for some good views.

In terms of the food, I really liked the different juice options available on top of your standard apple and orange juice which was fantastic! The salmon skin was slightly too salty but beneath that the salmon was well cooked and had good flavours. The soft shell crab taco was your standard taco but do note the sriracha Mayo and the chilli bits inside the slaw do give this dish a bit of a kick! 😅 The benedict was tasty, the egg was perfectly poached but the portion size was a little small given the price, we would recommend this more for an entree. That being said, I think the prices and serving size are what you expect considering the location and environment.

All in all, a wonderful cafe and we had a very great experience. I think it would be a great place to host a function or any group gatherings.

The salmon and pea dish was so yummy that I didn’t have time to take a photo!

Sweet potato chips perfection - crispy on outside, fluffy on inside.

Will be back!

It's a beautiful place with very good food. The coffee was awesome. It's a little bit on the pricier side, but it's worth a try. I loved their chorizo egg Benedict. It's full of flavour and really enjoyable.

Today, we were there for breakfast, and the scrambled eggs and pumpkin soup were truly delicious. Besides, their coffee was amazing. In addition to the delicious food, the view was incredible. I highly recommend there to everyone.

I could not recommend this place more. I come here just about everyday and have consistently received perfect coffee’s along with the most lovely bunch of staff greeting me each day by name (you guys are awesome), I truly appreciate what these guys do and genuinely couldn’t be a better start to my day than dropping in here for a coffee. Kudos to the espressionist, love your work!

Jennet is very lovely accommodating our group of 10 to sit comftably and strategically to not disturb other customers.

I had a latte and slow cooked lamb for brunch and it has been a delight!!

The cafe is clean as well as the loo which should go hand in hand especially in the hospitality industry.

We are definitely coming back again soon!

NOT JUST A PLACE - AN EXPERIENCE

Oh man, this place is literally amazing. Choose a day, any day, sunny, rainy - whatever - the views from wherever you'll be sitting of The Docklands are amazing.

And then you pair that with awesome food and coffee - that's what we call an experience.

We tried a couple of things here, the Preserved Lemon and Asparagus dish was our favourite - it is so packed with flavour and at the same time it's healthy; what a perfect combo.

To be naughty, we also tried the Schnitzel Pork Roll served with chips - you can't go wrong with that hey? Just check the pics hehe.

Coffee is awesome here too - just even sitting outside gazing at the water and clearing your head.

The venue is simply stunning - the bar is fully stocked - which only means you will be so happy to spend a night here for drinks - it's boujee!

A fab little find on a quiet Docklands waterfront. Friends and I happened across The Espressonist/FOMO after we found the cafe we’d planned to meet at closed - and it turned out to be quite the lucky outcome.

I can only hazard a guess that this spot is flat chat on a sunny weekend, but being a Monday a walk in was no problem and the environment though 50-70% full was quiet and relaxed.

The staff who served us were personable and attentive, coffee was good, and the menu selection excellent (including all day brekkie/brunch options). Our meals were quick, delicious, and fresh (so much so we commented on how great they were more than once).

It’s almost a shame this spot is tucked away in a quiet corner of the docklands - though I bet the locals love it that way. Would definitely drop in again if wandering by.
