Been here twice, and have had good experiences on both occasions. They're also open for longer hours on weekends, as compared to other pathology centres.

I'd like to send a thanks to Danielle who took my blood on 23/12/23. Her excellent customer service, and fun, witty humour made the whole process less mundane, and had me laughing.

Will definitely be coming back here!

Walked in and was seen straight away by a lovely, attentive phlebotomist who did everything to make sure she fulfilled the requirements of my referral which was a little different to the standard.

I'm not sure of her name, but the lady that had taken my blood this morning was very nice, professional and calming. She made good conversation and actually appeared to care. It was refreshing and a pleasant experience.

Helen who works there is very good, efficient and experience. She knows her work and is very good at it. Even the most difficult to find veins is not an issue for her. The wait can be long at times but it can't be help as she is the only person there and sometimes it takes a while to do the different tests required. Plus it takes extra time to explain to people who doesn't speak English why she can't attend to them although they have waited in line. So please accompany your love ones if they do not understand English to avoid being turn away

I had a distressing experience with a Pathology Collector, possibly named Jenny during my recent visit. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional.

Firstly, upon my arrival, I followed the instructions to ring the bell and take a number. She came out angrily, accusing me of not supposed to ring the bell. Then she took the referral letter from my hand and left without any indication or self introduction, leaving me standing with confusion in the lobby. She suddenly came out to blame me, “ can you do blood collection from where you're standing? “ This blame was how she provided her instruction.

In the blood draw room, she redundantly questioned details readily available in the G.P referral letter. For example, GP's address, the GP provider number, which day I received this referral, etc.

Moreover, she didn't take necessary sanitary precautions. Besides being so casually dressed that it was hard to tell she was a medical worker, She failed to take basic sanitary precautions and sneezing for multiple times without covering her mouth or wearing a mask.

During the blood draw, Jenny's poor technique resulted in her inability to draw blood. Jenny provided no apology for her failure, for the pain and stress caused by her, and instead blaming me, again, for insufficient water intake, even I’ve told her that I have drunk at least two glasses of water before this blood collection.

She ended up requiring the assistance of another male phlebotomist. It's worth mentioning that another phlebotomist who came to help was very skilled and had a normal cutersy and communication . He was able to draw blood right away.

I strongly discourage anyone from seeking the services of Jenny, as her incompetent skills and disrespectful attitude were the worst that I’ve encountered so far. A reevaluation of her training and qualification in both technical and interpersonal aspects is imperative for the well-being of patients.

After so many attempts to contact, I called the number listed in here. The person sounded like they don’t even know the test I was asking about. No direct instructions were provided to me. So useless having this number listed. I am a regular customer for Melb pathology. From my previous experiences, they provide a good service.
Please allocate staff who know what they are doing to this service centre.
Disappointed.

Extremely rude pathologists. I rang the bell only once because the waiting area was empty. Angry pathologist came out and complained that I rang the bell twice , they are really busy etc.... Please check your cctv for proof and train your staff for how to treat your patients. This was happened Sunday 14th January around 1pm.

When will Melbourne pathology put more people on first thing in the morning. I've been waiting 40 minutes for two people to go through and still waiting! I am so over the lack of urgency when people have to get to work.

If you are going to offer a service where you open at 7:30 am, maybe you should start seeing people at 7:45 then start Telling people to go down the road because it will be quicker.
The one down the road does not open till 8am !! People has to work!! Is it really that hard to start when you said you would .
